A 20-year old girl who has just recovered from a beating on August 9 was detained again, according to the “Imena” charity founder Ekaterina Sinyuk.

“Today they grabbed this fragile 20-year old Lera who has barely healed the lacerations on the face, legs, and back she got on August 9. She still has trouble sleeping, she is in constant need of psychological help, and now she will surely get jail time. This is unbearable!”

“I feel blood dripping all over my body and my clothes. I don't feel pain. I start asking whether my face is alright. Of course, no one answers. And I like to think: that's it, half of my face is probably gone. Because I couldn't see what was going on, I was wearing my contact lenses and everything was covered in blood. But I've been optimistic since the beginning, even though I cried. The most important thing was that I was alive, the rest didn't matter,”
Lera recently recounted the events of August 9.
Dmitry Dudzin, an IT entrepreneur, CEO of GanttPRO, and co-founder of several other large startups, was detained during today's protests in Hi-Tech Park nearby.

Lukashenko: Belarus is bracing itself up for terrorist threads

“We have seen the radicalization of the remaining protesters. We clearly see the organizers and those who embody these ideas. Back then I said that we should act cautiously, since they did not yet cross the red line. The last few days have shown that they have crossed this red line in many ways,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

He emphasized that the government is worth its name if it knows how to defend itself and its people. “Therefore, when the red line is crossed, the government must respond,” he added.

For so long they tried to convince us and practically made us believe that we are not capable of anything and nothing depends on us, that we almost believed in it,” the letter says. “And as soon as we saw that there is an alternative, there are creative, strong, decent and proud Belarusians, we began to ‘wake up’ little by little.”
