Extra features on LineageOS (LED Light)
If you still have an old phone, chances are it comes with a LED light, and it can be used as a battery & notification indicator, and LineageOS is giving you the options to do just that.
Notifications light
Options vary across devices since some have RGB support and some don't, so if you own the one without it, you will only get to change its pulse length and speed, also adjusting the brightness and allow lights with screen on. For devices with RGB indicator light, you can customise its color which will make it much easier to know which app has sent a notification to your device.
Battery light
Again, depending on your device, options available vary. For devices with RGB indicator light, you get to customise its color when it reaches a specific battery level, so when the device has less than 15%, it shows red, above 90% would show green, that’s up to you though. Otherwise, you only get to toggle pulse if the battery is low and turn off when fully charged.

LineageOS 20: Update
So it has been months since we last talked about LineageOS 20, and I don't feel confident posting about this, but since some of you joined this channel mainly to get LineageOS update, okay let me reveal something, but take this as a grain of salt, all of these are subject to change if thing doesn't work as planned.
LineageOS 20 scheduled announcement date: 31 Dec 2022
Yeah, so the team purposely scheduled the release of the next major version on the very last day of 2022. You might be asking, is this going to be true? I myself can't be sure, in reality they haven't even managed to solve the build issue till today.
So what's new you may be asking? Okay, it's going to be similar to the previous version but well, there are some new stuff (listing out the obvious changes only):
• Quick Settings light-mode
• Improved Setup Wizard experience
• Android TV: Ad-free launcher
And for Pixel 1/XL users, no good news, we are still going to stick with Android 11, until someone figures out a way to boot newer Android versions on the device of course. If you own later Pixel models, then you are good to go, LineageOS will be supporting all of them and those devices will be receiving LineageOS 20 builds.
That's all from me, wishing all the best to the LineageOS team.

Introducing LineageOS 'Aperture'
Long story short, we can all agree the Camera app that came preinstalled in LineageOS builds and other vanilla ROMs are just awful to use, no matter if it is Snap or Camera2. With no advanced image processing and little to no features, making it become one of the obsolete apps in most people's minds, including myself.
The era is about to change with the release of LineageOS 20, introducing Aperture, which is built based on Google's CameraX library, at least your photos won't be too grainy in quality with that camera. It also comes with a few new features:
• Auxiliary cameras support (device maintainers must enable it)
• Video frame rate controls
• Full control of EIS (electronic image stabilization) and OIS (optical image stabilization) settings
• A leveler to check the device orientation angle
LineageOS also promised to add more features in the new future, cool to see that. The new camera app will only be preinstalled on LineageOS 20 builds.

Extra features on LineageOS (Display)
There are actually a few additional settings in LineageOS which let you play around with the screen itself.
If you don't like the default dark theme, there is a pure black option so the system theme will be completely black, but keep in mind that there won't be Material You color hue in dark mode. In LiveDisplay, you can turn on reading mode and make changes to color calibration. Some devices will also have a picture adjustment option which lets you adjust the hue, saturation, intensity and contrast.
There is a dedicated page for rotation settings which you can toggle rotation modes and whether to rotate lock screen. Additionally, you can double tap the status bar from any application to turn off the screen and toggle whether to wake the screen while plugging in.
Over at the lock screen section, you have the option to display media cover art & music visualiser. Some other devices which have an AMOLED display will come with an Always on display option too.
