የመምረጥ መብት፡- የመደበኛ ባለአክሲዮኖች በኩባንያው ዓመታዊ ስብሰባዎች ላይ የመምረጥ መብት አላቸው። የመምረጥ መብት ብዙውን ጊዜ ከያዝነው የአክሲዮን ብዛት ጋር ተመጣጣኝ ነው። ይህ ማለት የቦርድ አባላትን መምረጥ ወይም ዋና ለውጦችን ማጽደቅ ባሉ አስፈላጊ የኩባንያ ውሳኔዎች ላይ አስተያየት መስጠት እንችላለን ማለት ነው።

Ethiopia sees $2 Billion in new investments

Ethiopia’s private sector is experiencing a significant surge in investment, with over $2 billion committed to new projects following recent policy and legal reforms. The introduction of a new Investment Proclamation has opened numerous sectors to foreign investors, resulting in a wave of business activity.

According to the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC), more than 150 investment projects have emerged since the proclamation was enacted, leading to an influx of over $1.2 billion in various sectors. Habtamu Simachew (PhD), Legal and Policy Advisor at the EIC, highlighted the positive impact of these reforms, stating, “The number of investment projects and the capital invested in newly opened sectors have increased significantly.”

Condominium owners face eviction

Addis Ababa Housing Development and Administration Bureau (AAHDAB) has announced that homeowners of condominiums will face lease termination if they do not occupy their units by November 9, 2024. However, many owners are unable to move in due to inadequate infrastructure.

The AAHDAB reported that over 7,000 40/60 condominiums located in Lemi Kura Sub-city, Woreda 03 Bole Ayat 2, have been handed over to beneficiaries for six years, yet residents have not been able to take up residence. The lack of essential infrastructure has left many homeowners frustrated and unable to access their new properties.
