Whist walking the banks of the river #Thames this morning, I've already seen three cameramen who've set up just to capture images of the Shard and other modern buildings. They, like the magazines or sites they're photographing for, are the visible representation of our decline.
Good company is expensive, but brilliant company is priceless. 🤝🍻
The greatest sights in #London are the parts that have been most left undisturbed.

The ‘Hoop & Grapes’ - 47 #Aldgate High St, Greater, #London, #EC3N

We traversed to the @HoopandGrapes_ to discuss its historical interest and importance within #London and #Britain's overall pub scene. This pub isn't simply important as a pub. It's an insight into the many buildings that once made up the #CityofLondon before the 'Great fire' of 1666. ChelseaDan5 and myself (@VinnieSullivan) were joined by the wonderful @TheWonderingEnglishman. Together, we looked at the building not only for its registered history but for the many unknown moments it must have seen. We'd like to thank the staff who were incredibly helpful, polite, and facilitating. Our view into the cellar/tunnel was very special and ensured we'll be singing the Hoops praises for years to come. We hope you'll join us on YouTube.

Thank you all for joining us, you'll find the full feature in high quality below. 🤝🍻

The Spanish Tallship (Galeon Andalusia) - St Catherine Docks, #Wapping, #London, #E1W

This replica is a beautiful yet scary insight into historical Naval warfare. This beast, like its #Portuguese siblings, terrorised the seas for many years. Britian was tried and tested againt fantastic #Navy's. Even the #Spanish Amarda wasn't thwarted in the fashion most think. We can only imagine the hardship and stories that took place amongst the storms and battles within the seven seas. No doubt, the sea bed hides a great deal of secrets, relics, and lost souls.

I often wonder if many men hide how much they care for the world as much as I do. Or, if I really am just the odd one out.
"Progress"..

The Imperial Hotel in #London's #RussellSquare was once a neo-gothic wonder devised by the architect Charles Fitzroy Doll. It was DEMOLISHED in 1966 and replaced by this brutalist display of architectural terrorism by the design of "Architect" Charles Lovett Gill.

The Dolphin Inn – Heigham Street, #Norwich, #England - #RIP

Formerly a house known as Bishop Hall’s Palace that's supposed to have been built for the Sheriff of Norwich, Richard Brown. It was damaged by an incendiary bomb upon which the owners, Steward & Patteson, rebuilt the it after the war and it was reopened as a pub in 1960. By 1999, the owners at the time decided to close the pub and later offered it for sell up. In 2001 it was damaged by a FIRE🧐... and has since become a chiropractic practice.

As I mentioned in the video, I'm enamored of this Tudor/Jacobean style fireplace within the @HoopandGrapes_ that's complimented by the array of unique leather bound seats. It fascinates and bewilders me as to how anyone can prefer modern bars to beautiful pubs. @BritainsPubs @LostAndLivingpubs

Within the @HoopandGrapes_ is a painting of the great fire of 1666 by Josepha Jane Battlehooke as seen from a boat in the vicinity of Tower Wharf. The painting depicts Old #LondonBridge, the churches of St Dunstan-in-the-West and St Bride's, All Hallow's the Great, Old (gothic) St Paul's, St Magnus the Martyr, St Lawrence Pountney, St Mary-le-Bow, St Dunstan-in-the East and #TowerofLondon. A classy painting for a classy pub. 🤝🏆🍻
