This is an antique photograph of @GeorgeInn1677 (75 #Borough High St, #London #SE1). The crooked beauty of this image can still be experienced as the pub is currently still trading. Those who love #London and its pubs are all too familiar with this gem. @BritainsPubs
This is 70-Yr-Old Mark Hill riding his wacky Penny farthing bicycle in #Battersea, #London, 1934. There's no wonder as to why this never caught on in a big way, I'd rather ride horseback than use this contraption.

Have you ancestors in #Ballyvourney/#BaileBhuirne, #Ireland? If so, you may see/hear them in this video from 1929, which also includes the still existing and recognisable town itself. Many faces are included in this video. You may be looking at an ancestor…

I wonder how many people can still understand our old dialects? Listen to this man speaking all the way from 1929 and see if you can understand anything being said. It pains me to admit that we genuinely see their like no more. #Ireland.

This one's wholesome. An old #Irishman dances to pass the time. This is yet another glorious insight into the character of our forebears. Their ability to smile and enjoy life despite its many hardships brings me a sense of much needed encouragement. #Ireland…

This is incredibly heartwarming. A young man calls his sister over (in English) to come and see a young donkey. His accent is truly nostalgic. I can't help but wonder where they might have wound up?

One of the most dangerous forms of naivety is to believe that just because you wish no harm on others, that they're not working hard to see great harm unto you.
If you want to know who's got grit, wait and see who of us still gels our hair in winter.

Sometimes, footage from the 80s cuts deeper than that of the 1800s as we see just how fast the world has left us behind. This is #Walthamstow market in the 80s, where my beautiful grandmother shopped & brought me through the 90s. The emotions I feel watching this are immeasurable.
Too right Barking Road is rough with hardened hooligans like Elijah Wood running around.
