Lock Your Chats To use live locations and proximity alerts, go to the contact’s chat window and tap on the ‘Attach’ icon shaped like a paperclip. In order to protect your personal information, Telegram automatically terminates your old sessions after 6 months. You will find four options: keep media on your device for three days, one week, one month, or forever. Since non-secret chats and files are stored in the cloud, you can access them from any device by logging into your account.
