Telegram is a great all-around messenger, especially when you start using its best features and know everything it's capable of. To get going, open the Telegram app on your device. Then, head over to a chat and tap on the name of the chat at the top. Like many communication apps, Telegram includes chatbots. Bots add useful functions both on their own and into your chats; they can do everything from checking the weather to playing games. It’s also worth mentioning that all chats are encrypted, even if not end-to-end encrypted. Next up, tap Sound and then choose your custom notification sound located under the Telegram Tones section. Make sure to tap Done at the top right to finish. Interestingly, Telegram names your custom notification sound as Cloud Tone and also allows you to upload any audio as a notification sound for a chat. To enable or disable this service, go to “Settings”, “Notification and Sounds”, and swipe down to the “Other” section. Ultimately though, using Telegram doesn’t necessarily mean your messages are more private or secure than when using WhatsApp or other messaging apps. Server-side data leaks can still happen, and no amount of encryption will help if your end device is already compromised. Keep-Alive Service
