Konark wheel is depicted in Indian tricolour flag or Ashok chakra? Both are rich in symbolism, both go deep back into history. Think about it.

Rudra Veena is an ancient instrument which is now played rarely. It is replaced by Surbahar in the 19th century. But when it was in its prime, it used to accompany Dhrupad singers, another style of singing which is declining.

🔸In the painting, you can see Naubat Khan Kalawant, in the court of Akbar, playing Rudraveena.
🔸In the temple sculpture from Srirangam (TN), you can see a woman playing Rudra veena.

It is unfortunate, as you can notice in the new article, that the State could not find a scope to patronize such a great ancient art. Kaalaay Tasmai Namah...!

I have posted this before as well but I can't resist resharing this. It works beautifully to manage your time.

We tend to get overwhelmed when we have soo much to do and when we have nothing to do. Too many options and a free time be equally draining.

This reference matrix will sort out the chaos on your mind and help you deal with your time effectively!

Statue of Oneness being unveiled on 18th.

Last time, we had the Statue of Equality of Acharya Ramanuja and there was a question in Prelims. Adi Shankaracharya's philosophy is as important and rather more fundamental in nature. Do read about it.

"Born in present-day Kerala, Adi Shankaracharya is believed to have reached Omkareshwar after becoming a sanyasi at a very young age, where he met his guru Govind Bhagwadpad and stayed in the religious city for four years and attained education.

According to religious beliefs, he left Omkareshwar at the age of 12 and travelled across the country spreading the Advaita Vedanta philosophy and explaining its tenets to people."

I have also discussed his ideas in this video which is useful to understand the context of his ideas.
