✅ Referendum 87, the proposal for revisions to the Moonbeam Grants Program, has passed via community vote, allocating up to 12mm GLMR to grants for projects over the next 6 months! 🤯

Project teams can now submit their draft proposals for Ecosystem Grants (>$250k).

Following the deadline & feedback process for submitting a proposal, a public/weighted Snapshot vote will be held to determine how the first tranche of the Ecosystem Grants will be distributed. Applications are also open for Community Committee Grants (up to $250k) - submit a grant app through the Moonbeam Foundation website & get approved by the committee. The process for receiving community grant is also outlined in the forum.

🗳️ Referendum 2 for Runtime 2201 is up to vote for the next 8 days on Moonriver!

If passed, this proposal will enact the migration to a new format for the referendumInfo structure of Runtime 2200’s substrate dependency upgrade to v0.9.37.

🚨 A smart contract issue was reported to the Moonbeam Foundation that enabled a user to withdraw an improper amount of USDC from Moonbeam. We are happy to report that the improperly moved funds have been returned thanks to the work of Moonbeam community members.

The vulnerable contracts have been paused to prevent exploits. S/O to the Multichain & Equilibrium teams for identifying the incident and working together to resolve it. Extreme thanks to Ron Brown for his assistance in helping to remedy the issue. The owners of the affected smart contracts are working on upgrades to unpause and resume normal operation. The issue did not affect Moonriver.

It’s collaborations like this, where folks from across the community come together to find successful resolutions, that make the Moonbeam community so incredible. 🙌
