FULL-TIME | Three points 🙌

🩵 2-0 🦊 #ManCity
Jack Grealish: “In the second half they [Leicester] sat back a lot more, it was difficult to break them down. The main thing when you’re winning 2-0 is not give them chances and I don’t think they had a shot in the second half. It was difficult to get the third but we were happy to get the win and clean sheet.”

Kyle Walker on joining AC @Milan: “It came at the right time. It was the right club. I felt I need to go and try something different.

I don't want to live after football saying I wish I'd have just explored something different and come to a club like this. I think it was the right fit for me.”
Kyle Walker: “it's not over. I'm just on loan here. I've got to take that into consideration that I can go back.

Obviously, both parties need to come to an agreement come the end of the season and...Listen, the chapter's not fully closed, but we'll see what happens.”

BREAKING: Kevin De Bruyne is leaving Manchester City THIS SUMMER.
Pep Guardiola’s pre-@ManchesterUnited press conference:

On Kevin De Bruyne leaving Man City: “A sad day. And a happy day for the fact the pleasure personally we lived this time with him, what he gave to all of us, his humanity.

It's not necessary to tell his success with us in the last decade - impossible to imagine without him. A sad day because a part of us is leaving. When Vincent [Kompany] left or Sergio [Aguero] left or David Silva left, their contribution... I can say more names, these three are examples.

It's a sad day. But still we have 10 games, and hopefully 11, six games at home that still we can enjoy with our fans and he will get - I'm pretty sure - the love and recognition that all of us, fans of course, that he deserves.”
Pep Guardiola on Kevin De Bruyne: “One of the greatest midfielders ever to have played in this country, and I think with Man City there's no doubt.

Greatest or not the greatest, always you have to be careful with players that played at Maine Road, incredible players in the last 20/30 years in this club.

But come on, there's no doubt he's one of the greatest for sure because of his consistency in important games, not important games, being there every three days all the time. That is no doubt.”
Pep Guardiola on whether now feels the right time for Kevin De Bruyne to leave Man City: “What is important is that he feels good right now.

We spoke recently, lately, that he had problems but now he feels, finally, because after surgery in hamstring he had problems in other parts of the body, but now he feels ready.

The decision is made, and of course all of us wish him, [his wife] Michelle, the kids, mum and dad, absolutely the best.”
Pep Guardiola on Kevin De Bruyne: “His assists, goals, vision in the final third is so difficult to replace. Everyone can make an action, two actions, or an assist, but during how many years and games, that makes him unique.

At the end, this is a business and players have to perform well, the manager has to perform well, and not any person can discuss that his performances over the last decade have not been outstanding! We won a lot, a lot of trophies, and he has been involved in every single one, so that's why always.

I think we'll remember him as part of this club, his statement, the club has said to him that the doors are open for the rest of his life. Whatever he wants to do here in another part, he's part of the family of this club. The impact of some players transcend beyond what he has done on the pitch and Kevin is one of them.”
Pep Guardiola says he does not know exactly WHEN Kevin De Bruyne will leave Man City in the summer amid the FIFA Club World Cup.

Pep: “It's a good question, I don't know. I think he has to decide, we have to talk, because now with the World Cup it's new, and the expiry of contract.

Hopefully he can continue playing football in another place, and it depends on the risk of playing there, the contracts, injuries, or the future.

Honestly, I don't know. I think the club has to talk to him or he has to say what he wants to do.”
Pep Guardiola on speaking with Kevin De Bruyne about his Man City future: “Yeah... (Can you share anything?) No. It was nice. Always we had a special relationship.

Kevin is a special person, a special player. A special person and a special player should be treated in a special way, and we had a conversation with that, of course. It's one decade! Do you know how many games together?! How many meetings, how many training sessions, how many good moments and bad moments, how many hugs, how many shouts.

He was involved for one decade, except days off, international breaks, except holidays. Every single day we were together! And thinking now it will be over, come on.”
Pep Guardiola on Kevin De Bruyne leaving Man City: “An emotional moment. With Sergio [Aguero] for example, it wasn't easy for me to tell him we wouldn't continue, because there are players that have done for this club we're living right now. This situation is always so difficult; emotions are there, they give us too much!

Can you imagine the way we play and how incredibly nice some seasons have been without Kevin?! With Leroy [Sane] or Raheem [Sterling] running in-behind, or the moments for Sergio in the pockets, or when we dropped in with Gabriel [Jesus] and all the strikers there - they were benefitting from the talents and skills from Kevin! 280 goals and assists - it's huge!

We are going to enjoy the last two months here together, but of course it's emotionally tough and difficult.”
Pep Guardiola: “Listen, when all of us arrived at Man City, Kevin De Bruyne was here - he's the oldest one! He was here before I arrived, and when John [Stones] arrived or [Ilkay] Gundo as the first [signings], all the players. He's the oldest!”

On whether Kevin De Bruyne will be given a Man City statue outside the Etihad Stadium: “Listen, I don't know. But I will bet a lot of money that's going to happen! That's for sure! But I don't know... But of course, come on, he deserves to be at this level.”
