The aforementioned secret chats are where you can take part in end-to-end encrypted messaging with a contact. This gives you better control over what information is out there, and how people can contact you in the future. On desktop applications, chat folders are displays in the sidebar. In the mobile app, these folders are arranged in tabs that can be easily swiped between. I have been using Telegram for a long time. It’s straightforward, and most Telegram features save time and make my day-to-day life so much easier.

As mentioned above, the use of usernames instead of phone numbers means your account isn’t tied to just one phone.
