To lock your messages, go to “Settings”, “Privacy and Security” and tap on “Passcode Lock”. You will be asked to set a four-digit passcode and confirm it. Once you do that, you will find additional options to “unlock the app with fingerprint” and “auto-lock” it after a specific duration. The encryption is based on 2048-bit RSA encryption, 256-bit symmetric AES encryption, and Diffie–Hellman secure key exchange. Public groups can now enable join requests – allowing group admins to review new members before approving them to write in the chat. Once you turn the auto-night mode on, the app will automatically switch to dark mode at the scheduled time.
