Alex Kovachev, Race Director of the Rallye Breslau

๐ŸŽคSo here are we already after the Breslau. I think most of the competitors have already finished but let's say the first podiums are occupied and after a week of really very very tough but very interesting and very different event everybody is here really happy with we're preparing the stage for the prize-giving ceremony. Beautiful weather here in Poland, as you see, temperatures are quite close to the ones in Tunisia. But we had also rain this week.

Look, I'm not going to be doing it for a very long time, the interview. This year, the Breslau has been absolutely amazing. Absolutely unbelievable. You can ask anybody from the probably 1,500 people who are here in the bivouac, but also on the people, ask the people in social media. Magnificent event. I am very, very thankful to all competitors, and I'm extremely thankful to all my Orga team. Guys, you are amazing. I would go to the moon with you. Thank you. Bye-bye.

The 30th jubilee edition of the Europeโ€™s oldest and biggest off-road race finished after 7 dynamic and difficult days. with a not so long, 80 kilometers Winnersโ€™ Stage. And, after the last battle, here are the new crowned-winners:

As usual in ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฏ๐—ถ๐—ธ๐—ฒ ๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜€, time differences are tiny and unstable until the very end of the race. Breslau 2024, of course, made no exception and the top pretenders were at the arch split by a few minutes. Anyway, ๐˜ฝ๐™–๐™ง๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™ก๐™ค๐™ข๐™ž๐™š๐™Ÿ ๐™๐™–๐™—๐™ž๐™ฃ (KTM) from Poland was the best rider on two wheels, leading the race for the entire week and claimed his well-deserved title. Second place for the South American Matthew Grid (KTM) with 3 and a half minutes delay. Third, slightly less than 9 minutes behind the winner was another rider from Poland - Krzysztof Jarmus (KTM).

๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ช๐—ถ๐—น๐—ธ๐—ผ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ธ ๐˜„๐—ผ๐—ป ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—”๐—ง๐—ฉ ๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜€, after a good battle with his compatriot and team-mate from Polaris Polska Adam Krysiak. At the end Wilkolek had more than 18 minutes advance to his opponent and claimed the second title for the host-country of the rally. Well-deserved third place for Gaetan Martinez from France in his debut season with CF MOTO.

(Toyota) deserved the title in the ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ ๐—–๐—– ๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜€. The Lithuanian duo started very strong from the very beginning of the rally and at the end the Baltics had huge one hour advance to their pursuers. The second place went to the well-known Breslau veterans Joerg Gruenbeck and Thomas Dasinger from Germany with their white Mercedes G. The G&D team managed to keep their lead over their fellow countrymen Daniel Jurk and Tabea Warg (B-Performance Proto).

Logically, they claimed the overall win, with massive advance. Second place for Tom Heurer - Christoph Tum - Marco Richter (Tatra) from Germany and third for another German crew - Benjamin Kittler / Silvio Kelch / Marco Rihter (Ginaf).

It was clear maybe in the half of Breslau 2024 that the ๐™€๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™ž๐™–๐™ฃ ๐™™๐™ค๐™ข๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™ง ๐™ƒ๐™–๐™ง๐™™๐™ค ๐™ˆ๐™š๐™ง๐™š ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™๐™ž๐™จ ๐™˜๐™ค๐™ฅ๐™ž๐™ก๐™ค๐™ฉ ๐™›๐™ง๐™ค๐™ข ๐™‹๐™ค๐™ก๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™‹๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฉ๐™ง ๐™†๐™ช๐™Ÿ๐™–๐™ฌ๐™จ๐™ ๐™ž will claim the title in the ๐—–๐—ฎ๐—ฟ ๐—˜๐˜…๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐—ข๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜€. And the last days just confirmed that. Estonia was the dominating country here as Rainer Ruutli and Rainer Oja finished second and Vallo Sassi and Ats Tsupsman took the third place.

In the ๐—น๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—˜๐—ซ ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ ๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜€, it was a total domination for ๐™Š๐™ก๐™ž๐™ซ๐™š๐™ง ๐™Ž๐™˜๐™๐™ฌ๐™š๐™ง๐™ข๐™–๐™ฃ๐™ฃ ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™ˆ๐™–๐™ง๐™˜ ๐˜ฝ๐™ง๐™ค๐™จ๐™ž๐™œ (Land Rover) from Germany, who finished first with huge advance to their rivals. Second place went for Jip Saris and Jos Beekman (Nissan), from the Netherlands and the third to Michael Betz and Bastian Betz, from Germany with their good old VW Iltis.

Another victory for Estonia was claimed in the ๐˜€๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น ๐—˜๐˜…๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐˜€, where๐™๐™ง๐™ข๐™–๐™จ ๐™๐™›๐™›๐™š๐™ง๐™ฉ ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™†๐™–๐™ž๐™ค๐™™ ๐™†๐™–๐™ก๐™ก๐™–๐™ซ๐™ช๐™จ with their Omaval C22 proto made it more than perfect. Second, more than 2 hours behind was the well-known German crew Steffen Braun / Christian Koepke / Rainer Ulrich with Unimog. Third finished the mixed equipage of Floors Dekers and Simon Meintema from Netherlands and Hendrik Alfers from Germany, also Unimog.

Last but not least, ๐™†๐™–๐™ฎ ๐™ˆ๐™š๐™จ๐™จ๐™ฃ๐™š๐™ง, ๐™‰๐™ž๐™˜๐™ค ๐™ƒ๐™ช๐™ฉ๐™ ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐˜ผ๐™ฃ๐™Ÿ๐™– ๐™’๐™ž๐™ก๐™๐™š๐™ก๐™ข managed to win the ๐—•๐—ถ๐—ด ๐—ง๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ธ ๐—˜๐˜…๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ class for vehicles with over 7,5 t weight. ๐Ÿ“–Sardegna Legend Rally: Epic journeys across Sardinia

Antonello Chiara (Sardegna Legend Rally Founder): โ€œToday you see me smiling because the current Sardegna Legend Rally has finished. And I can finally rest a bit and think about the next Sardegna Legend Rally event that we are planning for October - to be more precise, it should start on October 25 in Budoni.

Although we have been living in Sardinia for 40 years and regularly organizing these competitions, it is always a challenge for us to make them more interesting and attractive. We strive to always find and offer participants new route options, with new beautiful locations and panoramas.

We achieved that goal again this year, and we were able to offer just an incredible route, with a great coast-to-coast journey. And Iโ€™m even a bit envious of the participants - Iโ€™d like to ride the whole distance with them on a bike too. Maybe when this event is over, I could ride this route for a while and try to cross the Gennargentu massif.

To this we added the final day, which took place entirely on the seaside at Piscinas. We were lucky with the weather, it was not too hot, the temperature was somewhere up to 25 degrees, and in Gennargentu massif it was 14โ€“15 degrees at all. I look forward to seeing you at our next event in October!โ€

Frantisek Brutovsky will take part in the Italian Baja (national category), which also serves as a round of the Hungarian championship. The Czech driver has changed his car and will drive a new Ford Evo+. His co-driver will be Hungarian Alexandra Gabriela Miklos.

๐ŸŽคThis will be my third time participating in the Italian Baja. What I like most about Italy is absolutely everything, especially the rivers. There's something special about this race due to its unique nature compared to other races, about 70% of the course is through water.

I've competed in the Italian Baja twice before. Last year, unfortunately, I had a collision with a tree.

We're currently in the testing phase. We have a new car and a new co-driver. This year, we've done testing in Tunisia and participated in one Polish and one Hungarian race. We're really looking forward to Italy.

Lategan & Cummings won the marathon TGRSA Safari 1000

The third round of the South African Rally Raid Championship (or SARRC), the Toyota Gazoo Racing SA Safari 1000, took place in June (21-23 June to be precise).

It is the largest national cross country rally in South Africa. Unlike the other SARRC rounds, it is a three-day event, usually covering a distance of between 800km and 1000km. With such a long distance, there is a possibility that the Safari 1000 could become a World Rally Raid Championship round in the future.
