The 40th edition of the Baja España Aragón will take place from July 26th to 28th in Teruel and once again will be the only Spanish event to score points for the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Bajas. The Aragonese event will also count towards the FIM Cross-Country Bajas World Cup and is included in the calendar of the Spanish Cross-Country Rally Championship.

Registrations are now open for teams interested in participating.

As happened in the 2023 edition, the organization has opted to maintain three days of competition, with Friday dedicated to the prologue event for cars and motorcycles. Both categories will participate in the same special stage, serving as a warm-up for the subsequent two days of competition on Saturday and Sunday.

Ecuadorian Driver Shines at the Baja 500.

Ecuadorian Rally Cross Country driver and his co-driver Marco Guerrón achieved a top 10 finish in their first Baja 500, organized by SCORE International.

Facing extreme terrains and temperatures from 44°C to 18°C, they completed the 500-mile race in 18 hours and 35 minutes without major issues.

Held in Baja California, this race is one of the toughest in the world. Their performance made a significant mark in international motorsport.

🎤We finished our first Baja, very very difficult, extremely difficult, incredibly tough. It’s 3:45 in the morning. Marco and I are exhausted. We started at 6 in the morning and now, well, with the team, it’s almost 4 in the morning. But thank you very much, here we are. My daughters. The flag of Ecuador. Well, we finished.
Baja 500: triumph Toby Price and Paul Weel for Australia!

The race was a complete success for Team Australia - the crew of Aussies Toby Price, Paul Weel and American Brent Bauman won the Baja 500! They were more than seven minutes ahead of the Mexican crew of Tavo Vildósola (former winner of the San Felipe 250, Baja 500 and Baja 1000). Thus, Price and Weel became the first non-US and non-Mexican riders to win the Baja 500!

Bradley Salazar’s Baja 500 debut earned him a 10th position finish in the Pro UTV Forced Induction category.

Desafio Ruta 40. Press Release. Schareina and Al Rajhi lead in Córdoba

Al Rajhi and Al Attiyah are the W2RC's "usual suspects", and today's duel swung the former's way after he was bested yesterday in the prologue by the Qatari. Trading seconds in the morning, "Al Rajhing Bull" then dominated proceedings to win by 2 minutes at the flag. A 20-second speeding penalty for Al Attiyah extended his overall deficit to 2′20″. Post-stage, Al Attiyah revealed that he had encountered suspension issues that forced him to ease off. Keeping one's cool is also a strength for Lucas Moraes, third (see "FIA Stat"). The opposite of his teammate Seth Quintero, who made a costly error, becoming stuck in a ditch while trying to pass an Ultimate car and dropping over 25 minutes. In the Challenger class, Rokas Baciuška used the same verb as Nasser Al Attiyah to describe his day: to "survive" the slippery terrain, dust clouds and "incalculable" number of corners.

It was mission accomplished for "Rambo" Baciuška, who leads the Argentinian round in his debut by 4′12″ over the local Nicolás Cavigliasso, his main rival for the title. Marcelo Gastaldi and Dania Akeel (BBR) trail by just over 9 minutes. In SSVs,

Yasir Seaidan could have done without experiencing the law of serial events. After a turbo failure in Portugal, today it was a brand-new engine turbo that gave up the ghost while he was leading the special. The W2RC leader is 16 h 55′55″ back, chasing stage points. Sebastian Guayasamín took over the rally lead, 2′52″ clear of the impressive Rebecca Busi. The Italian even led the stage at one point! Enrico Gaspari thought that he had finished ahead of his compatriot, but he found out that haste makes waste, earning a 3′50″ penalty that relegated him to 4′49″ behind the leader.
