Most people use third-party apps to make sure that no one gets a hand on their private conversations. Telegram, however, has its own lock function to hide privates messages behind a passcode. To get going, open the Telegram app on your device. Then, head over to a chat and tap on the name of the chat at the top. Launch the Telegram app on your iPhone or Android device -> navigate to the Settings and choose Devices.

To preview a chat, simply press and hold its profile picture in your chat list. Ultimately though, using Telegram doesn’t necessarily mean your messages are more private or secure than when using WhatsApp or other messaging apps. Server-side data leaks can still happen, and no amount of encryption will help if your end device is already compromised. Message corners To create your own theme, tap the three-dot button (Android) or go to Chat Themes (iOS) and choose Create new theme. Here, you can create your own look if you don't like any of the default options.
