Since an update in 2019, Telegram has allowed users to delete messages sent by other users, across all devices. It’s a somewhat divisive feature. Having your messages deleted by someone else doesn’t feel very good. But if your conversation is between you and a person you trust, it’s another handy way to control your online communications. Another security feature that adds usability is usernames. Instead of giving people your phone number, you can simply give them your username. Once you are done editing, tap on Save Theme and your customized theme will be saved and applied. Open Telegram chat To create a username, go to “Settings” and tap “Username” under the account section. There is also a “Bio” option, where you can add a few lines about yourself. Anyone who opens your profile will see this text.
