💠Actions Specific to the Last Ten of Ramadan
💠Haafidh Ibn Rajab al Hanbali,
💢Lataa-if al Ma’aarif feema li Mawaasim al ‘Aam min al Wadhaa-if, 207
❖❐ The Messenger - صلى الله عليه وسلم - used to specify the last ten days of Ramadan with specific actions that he wouldn’t practice during the rest of the month.
💠 Amongst them: Staying up at night, it is possible that what is meant is that he would stay up the whole night, in the Hadith of ‘Aa-ishah:
💠 “The Messenger used to combine between sleep and prayer during the first twenty days, when that last ten came in, he would role up his sleves and tighten his Izaar.” [Narrated by Ahmad]
💠 It is also possible that what is meant is; he used to stay up the majority of the night, this opinion is supported by a Hadith collected by Muslim on the authority of ‘Aa-ishah:
💠 “I do not know that he ever stayed up until the morning for even one night.”
💠 Amongst them: The Messenger - صلى الله عليه وسلم - used to wake his family for the prayer during the last ten days and not in other nights.
💠 Sufyaan at Thawree stated: Praying Tahajud in [the last part of] the night is beloved to me, and that a person strives in it, and wakens his family and children to pray if they are able.
💠 It has been authentically reported that the Messenger - صلى الله عليه وسلم - used to knock on Faatimah and Ali’s door at night and say to them: “Will you not wake up and pray.” [Collected by both Bukhari and Muslim.]
💠 He used to wake ‘Aa-ishah up at night after he finishes praying Tahajud before he prays Witr. An encouragement has been narrated for the spouses, that each one wakes the other and lightly sprays water on their face.
💠 A narration in Muwata Malik states that ‘Umar ibn al Khataab used to pray at night what Allah willed him to pray, when the middle of the night approached, he would wake his family to pray and say to them: “The prayer, the prayer.” and recite this verse:
💠 And enjoin the prayers on your family, and be patient upon them [Taha: 132]
💠 Abu Muhammad, Habeeb al Faarisee’s wife used to say to him at night:
💠“The night is passing, ahead of us is a long journey and our provision is scarce, the caravans of the righteous have passed on ahead of us while we remain.”
💠 O Sleeping one get up and lay down later,
💠 wake up my beloved, the time has come.
💠 Take from the night and its time,
💠 some remembrance while the sleeping one sleeps.
💠 Whoever sleeps until the night is gone,
💠 when would he reach his home or tire.
💠 Amongst them, is that the Prophet - صلى الله عليه وسلم - used to tighten his Izaar. The scholars differed about its meaning; amongst them are those who said that it is an idiom indicating his eagerness and his efforts in worship, this explanation is not free of scrutiny.
💠 The correct understanding is that it means he used to refrain from [sexual relations with] women. This is how the Salaf and the Imams of the earlier generations explained it, amongst them is Sufyaan ath Thawree.
💠 He mentions in his Tafsir that he would not retire to his bed until Ramadan was over, and in the Hadith of Anas, may Allah be pleased with him: “He used to forsake his bed and refrain from [sexual relations with] women.”
💠 Some of the Salaf explained the saying of Allah:
💠 So now have sexual relations with them and seek what Allah has ordained for you. [Al Baqarah: 187]
💠 They explained that this is due to seeking Laylatul Qadr. The meaning is that when Allah permitted sexual relations with women in the nights of fasting until the dawn becomes clear,
💠 He also ordered the seeking of Laylatul Qadr, so that the Muslims are not busy during the nights of this month with permissible pleasures that would make them miss Laylatul Qadr.
💠 It is from this angle that the Messenger used to have relations with his family during the first twenty days, he would then refrain and free himself to seek Laylatul Qadr in the last ten.
💠 Amongst them; al ‘Itikaaf.

💠 “The Messenger of Allah used to practice ‘Itikaaf for ten days every Ramadan, in the year that he passed away, he practiced ‘Itikaaf for twenty.”
💠 The Mu’takif imprisons himself to the obedience and remembrance of Allah, he cuts off all the issues that distract him, he turns to his Lord and all that draws close to Him with his heart, and nothing remains with him other than Allah and what pleases Him.
💠 The more the knowledge of Allah and love for Him is strengthened, the more a person is able to completely cut himself off from anything other than Allah the Eleveated.

💞🍝FASTING WITH FEEDING THE POOR🍝💞
❖❐ Combining fasting with feeding the poor is one of the means of reaching Paradise, as the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) said:
❐ “In Paradise there are rooms whose outside can be seen from the inside and the inside can be seen from the outside.
❐ Allaah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) has prepared them for those who feed the poor, who are gentle in speech, who fast regularly and who pray at night when people are asleep.”
[Reported by Ahmad 5/343; Ibn Khuzaymah, no. 2137]
❐ The Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) said: “Whoever gives food to a fasting person with which to break his fast, will have a reward equal to his, without it detracting in the slightest from the reward of the fasting person.”
[Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 3/171; Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1/451]
❐ Shaykh al-Islam [Ibn Taymiyah] (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
❐ “What is meant is that he should feed him until he is satisfied.”
[Al-Ikhtiyaaraat al-Fiqhiyyah, p. 109] ❐

🔰Among the causes of having worries disappear and sins forgiven is sending ṣalāh (supplications for peace) upon the Prophet ﷺ, and the effect of sending ṣalāh upon him on Friday is greatest.
💠Ubayy ibn Kaʻb, may Allah be pleased with him, said,
🔰"O Messenger of Allah, I frequently invoke the blessings of Allah upon you. How much of my supplications should I devote to you?"
💢He, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said, "Whatever you wish." I said, "A quarter?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "One half?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "Two thirds?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "Shall I devote all my supplication to (invoking blessings upon) you?"
💥He said, "Then, you will be freed from your worry and your sin will be forgiven."
[At-Tirmithi: good-authentic; Al-Haakim in Al-Mustadrak]
💠Anas bin Maalik (radhi Allaahu anhu) said: Verily the Prophet (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:
💥Whoever sends Salah upon me once Allah will send ten (blessings) upon him and remove ten of his sins and raise his rank by ten levels.
[Imam Ahmad in his Musnad, Imam Bukharee in Adabul Mufrad #642 and #643. Jami Sagheer #6359 authenticated by Al Abaanee]
💠“Truly Allah and His angels say Salah on the Prophet, O you believers, recite Salah on him and send Salam on him completely.” [Al-Ahzab | C.33: A.56]
💠 Ibn Abbas (Rady'Allahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said,
‼️"Whoever forgets to send blessings upon me, he has missed a path to Paradise."

🌷Sending Salah upon the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihe wa sallam 🌷
💠Sending ṣalāh upon the Prophet ﷺ on Friday is better than on the rest of the days, and its night (Thursday night) is the best of nights. He ﷺ said,

💠The crown of all adhkār on Friday is sending ṣalāh (supplications for peace) upon the Prophet ﷺ. Those who mention it the most are those most mentioned in the heavens (by the angels) and those with the most tranquility on earth.

🔥Whoever increases in evil during Ramadan, it is proof that his shaytan who is chained is less evil than him and that he would repel him from greater evil.
🔥Then, when his shaytan becomes chained, his own chains are unfastened.‼️

✍️The Virtue Of Giving Iftar:
💠It was narrated that Zayd ibn Khaalid al-Juhani (Rady'Allahu anhu) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
🔰“Whoever gives iftaar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest."
[Tirmidhi, 807; Ibn Maajah, 1746. Classed as saheeh by Ibn Hibaan, 8/216 and by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami, 6415]
✍️Shaykh al-Islam [Ibn Taymiyah Rahimahu'Allah] said:
‼️“What is meant by giving him iftaar is giving him enough to satisfy him.”
[Al-Ikhtiyaaraat, p. 194]
💥The righteous salaf were keen to provide food for others and they thought that this was one of the best of righteous deeds.
✍️One of the salaf said:
🔰“For me to invite ten of my companions and feed them food that they like is dearer to me than freeing ten of the sons of Ismaa’eel from slavery.”
💠Many of the salaf used to give up their iftaar for others, such as ‘Abd-Allah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), Dawood al-Taa’i, Maalik ibn Dinar and Ahmad ibn Hanbal. Ibn ‘Umar used only to break his fast with orphans and the poor and needy.
💢There were among the salaf those who used to offer food to their brothers whilst fasting, and they would sit and serve them, such as al-Hasan and Ibn al-Mubaarak.
✍️Abu al-Siwaar al-‘Adawi said:
🔰“Men from the tribe of Banu ‘Adiyy used to pray in this mosque and not one of them would break his fast on his own; if they found someone to join them they would eat with him, otherwise they would take their food out to the mosque and eat with the people, and the people would eat with them.”
💠From the ‘ibaadah of providing food for people stem many other acts of worship such as creating love and friendship towards those who are given the food, which is a means of entering Paradise, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
💥“You will not enter Paradise until you truly believe, and you will not truly believe until you love one another.”
[Muslim, 54]
💢It also fosters the practice of sitting with righteous people and seeking reward by helping them to do acts of worship for which they gain strength by eating your food.
