Should You Trust Telegram? To get going, open the Telegram app on your device. Then, head over to a chat and tap on the name of the chat at the top. To mute a chat in Telegram, head over to the chat in question. Next, tap the name at the top and then hit the mute button.

After you have done, that all you need to do is enter your new number and then follow the process on your screen. Once you have created your account, you can switch between your accounts by clicking on the down arrow and selecting the account that you want to choose.
