If you do not want this to happen and want Telegram to keep running in the background to send you notifications in real-time, you can head over to Settings/ Notifications and Sounds/ Keep Alive Service and turn it on. While you can send uncompressed media in other messaging apps, you have to convert it in another format like EXE or PDF. I can’t tell you how much I love this Telegram trick. Telegram is a great all-around messenger, especially when you start using its best features and know everything it's capable of. While all Telegram chats are client-server encrypted, default chats are still stored on Telegram's servers. This conveniently allows you to access your messages on multiple devices, but it might raise privacy concerns. This security-focused messaging app allows you to register a unique username so that people can message or add you to groups without necessarily knowing your phone number. This way, you can keep your number private.
