If you are using Telegram on your PC, Laptop, or another device, your secret chat is only visible to your device that you started it. Since Telegram stores chats and files on a remote server instead of your device, you can also access everything (except secret chats) from the web. Access it via the web portal or any of several Chrome extensions. Another thing to keep in mind is that selling your data isn’t at the core of Telegram’s business model. According to Telegram’s FAQ page, the company is funded by its founder and CEO Pavel Durov, not through advertising or data collection and sharing.

Send Uncompressed Media To use it, go back to Settings > Chat Settings (Android) or Settings > Appearance (iOS). Select Auto-Night Mode to choose how it works. All your normal chat media will be saved in your cloud storage. But, secret chats are not a part of the Telegram cloud. All premium users get a Premium special badge that appears next to their name in the chat list, chat headers, and member lists in groups – showing that they help support Telegram and are part of the club that receives exclusive features first.

If you do not want this to happen and want Telegram to keep running in the background to send you notifications in real-time, you can head over to Settings/ Notifications and Sounds/ Keep Alive Service and turn it on. Scheduled and Silent messages While all Telegram chats are client-server encrypted, default chats are still stored on Telegram's servers. This conveniently allows you to access your messages on multiple devices, but it might raise privacy concerns. To change your default folder, press and hold a folder in your chat list > Reorder > and drag your preferred folder to the first space.

To schedule and send silent messages, users can simply type out their messages, but long tap on the send button instead of simply pressing it.
