Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) has announced it earned USD 31.5 million from exporting electricity to neighboring countries during the first three months of the current fiscal year. The electricity was sold to Djibouti, Sudan, and Kenya, amounting to 497.8 gigawatt hours, with a revenue performance of 91.8% compared to the plan.

ሪፖርቱ የኢትዮጵያ ዲጂታል ትራንስፎርሜሽን ጥረት በማህበራዊ እና ኢኮኖሚያዊ እድገት፣ በፈጠራ በማጎልበት እና ዘላቂ ልማትን በማምጣት ረገድ እያስመዘገበ ያለውን ውጤት እንዲሁም የሀገሪቱን ዲጂታል ስነ-ምህዳር ከማሳደግ አንጻር እየተደረገ ያለውን ጥረት ዳስሷል።
የጂ.ኤስ.ኤም.ኤ ዘገባ እንደሚያመለክተው የቴሌኮም ዘርፍ በኢትዮጵያ ቁልፍ የኢኮኖሚ አንቀሳቃሽ ሆኖ በመቀጠል እ.ኤ.አ በ2023 በቀጥታ እና በተዘዋዋሪ ያበረከተው ተጨምሮ ከአጠቃላይ የሀገር ውስጥ ምርት (GDP) 8% ደርሷል።
በሪፖርቱ የተዳሰሱ ግኝቶች ኢትዮጵያ በዲጂታል ትራንስፎርሜሽን እያከናወነቻቸው ለሚገኙ ተግባራት ዓለም አቀፋዊ ዕውቅናን የሚፈጥርላት ሲሆን በተለይም ለዜጎች አካታች ዲጂታል ኢኮኖሚን ለመገንባት ያላትን ቁርጠኝነት እንደሚያጎለብት ይታመናል፡፡

Sheikh Mohammed Al-Amoudi is engaged in a legal battle, seeking to recover over 852 million ETB allegedly donated to various government institutions and officials without his consent.
According to court documents, the funds were transferred to the bank account of his representative, Mr. Abinet Gebremeskel, between 2004 and 2013, including 75 million ETB given to the Prosperity Party.
Sheikh Al-Amoudi claims that these donations were made without his authorization, arguing that he did not intend for the funds to be used as gifts. The Federal Supreme Court, during a hearing on 15 October 2024, ruled that Mr. Abinet must return the funds along with interest.
