This means you can access them from any connected device, making Telegram much more multi-platform friendly than other chat apps like WhatsApp. All your normal chat media will be saved in your cloud storage. But, secret chats are not a part of the Telegram cloud.

This update brings improved chat previews on par with iOS. Now you can scroll through them to view the whole chat without marking it as read. New buttons have been added to let you mark the chat as read, mute it, pin it or delete it. Telegram allows you to manage the device storage: you can choose to delete media (photos, videos, and other files) shared on the app. All files will be deleted from your device after the specified duration, but they will stay in the Telegram cloud forever, so you can re-download them when you need them again. There is also an option to delete the cache and local database. Once you and your contact have both shared your live locations with each other, Telegram will show both parties on either map, which allows them to track each other. You can surely delete messages that you have sent, but did you know that Telegram has brought a new feature that lets you delete messages sent by other users too. That’s kind of weird, but this feature is for users who prioritize privacy over everything. To use this feature, just select the received message and tap on the “delete” button.
