This year I'm one of the organizers of BCNC ("Beyond Code: No Code") workshop in SPLASH 2021 conference. It's the biggest scientific event related to computer programming and especially object-oriented one. You are welcome to submit your papers. If any questions, you are welcome to ask me.

M167: When you deal with a weak and incompetent manager, who is not capable of finding a way to measure people's results objectively, you have to behave like an imposter. If you don't, somebody else will and the manager will think that this guy is the best guy in the team, no matter what are the actual achievements. Watch it.
“As long as you keep your boss happy, performance really doesn’t matter that much and, by contrast, if you upset them, performance won’t save you” — Jeffrey Pfeffer, Power: Why Some People Have It—and Others Don't (2010).

I highly recommend you reading this book. It helps understand how modern organizations, esp. large ones, are managed and what you can do in order to be on top of others. In a bad way too.
“I’m not sure you should worry about the effect of your behavior on the organization, because there is lots of data to suggest that organizations don’t care very much about you” — Jeffrey Pfeffer, Power.

M168: Computer science is not so hard to do. If you are a professional software engineer, you can present your results in an academic way and publish them at one of those computer science conferences. You will get yourself a status of a researcher. This will only help you in your career. Watch it.
We still want to start an ACM Professional Chapter in Russia. Who wants to be a co-founder and join our team? Please, text me: @yegor256.

The Good the Bad the Weird (2008) is one of the best action movies I've seen. It's super dynamic and energetic. I keep watching it again every few years.
Hey, a Sunday Twitter poll for you. It will illustrate this blog post of mine: Five Features to Make Java Even Better (2017)

M169: Every time I start a new book, an article, or a new software project, I spend a lot of time making sure it visually looks nice. Sometimes this process even takes longer than the writing itself. I'm kidding about this, but it's not so far from the truth. Visual representation of data/text is very important. Watch it full.
I'm planning to have a lecture today at Innopolis University (room 107 at 2pm), about automated testing and its pitfalls. Should be fun and in English. If you are around, don't hesitate to attend. If you need a pass, text me. It will, of course, be video recorded and I will be streamed live on YouTube.
