This security-focused messaging app allows you to register a unique username so that people can message or add you to groups without necessarily knowing your phone number. Open a Telegram chat To create a username, go to “Settings” and tap “Username” under the account section. There is also a “Bio” option, where you can add a few lines about yourself. Anyone who opens your profile will see this text. Does it ever happen that you send a message, and within a few seconds you find out a glaring typo? Well, there is an edit button to save you on Telegram, but not so much on Twitter.
