یعنی فقط یه چیز/مورد/.... نسبت به چیز/مورد/...گفته شده بزرگتر/مهمتر/... است

1️⃣ برای کلمات school, kindergarten, college, university, church, prison, jail وقتی از a/the/my و... استفاده می‌کنیم که به یک مورد خاص از آن‌ها اشاره کنیم.
مثال:

او به یک مدرسه‌ی خیلی خوب می‌رود.
• Our two boys go to the same school.

• The new prison has a special security wing for dangerous criminals.

قسمت دوم جمله ساختار IC, doing sth داره که خیلی پرکاربرد هست (drawing on...). مثال:
Japan has the most advanced high-speed train system, boasting trains that can reach speeds of over 300 km/h.
But Hales went further, addressing chemical as well as physiological questions (TPO 65).

وقتی از the استفاده میشه، لزوماً به یک مورد خاص اشاره نمیکنیم. توی اون متن (که یک جملش رو نوشتم، هیچ باستان‌شناس خاصی ذکر نشده و منظورش باستان‌شناسان (بطور کلی) بوده.
یه مثال دیگه البته با کاربرد متفاوت:
The blue whale is the largest animal in the world.
یادآوری:
1️⃣ در جمله‌ی
The first-class traveler pays more so he or she expects some comfort.
اگه the first-class traveler به مسافرهای خاصی اشاره داشته باشه، طبیعتا the بکار میره اما اینجا the first-class traveler به معنی "اون مسافرهای درجه 1" نیست، بلکه به مسافرهای درجه 1 بطور کلی اشاره میکنه.
2️⃣ وقتی که first class نقش صفت داشته باشه لزوماً نیازی به the نیست (این رو با حالتی که اعداد ترتیبی مثل first, second, third و... داریم نباید اشتباه گرفت). مثال:
• a first-class novel/writer
• The car was in first-class condition.
• I know a place where the food is first-class.
• first-class rail travel
• a first-class cabin/seat/ticket
