💡 برای نقل قول یک جمله، سؤال و یا گفته‌ها از نقل قول غیر مستقیم reported speech استفاده می‌شود، که با نقل قول مستقیم (همراه با علامت کوتیشن) تفاوت دارد.
👨🏫 وقتی بخواهیم از نقل قول غیر مستقیم برای اتفاقی در گذشته استفاده کنیم، وقتی و زمان فعل اصلی حال کامل (present perfect) باشد، فعل اصلی به گذشتهی کامل (past perfect) تبديل می‌شود.
مثال:
'I have met him before'
برای نقل قول این جمله، فقط حالت اول صحیح است:
✅ I was sure that I had met him before.
❌ I was sure that Imet him before.
'The village has not changed much.'
برای نقل قول این جمله، فقط حالت اول صحیح است:
✅ I found that the village had not changed much.
❌ I found that the villagedid not change much.
👨🏫 اما وقتی زمان فعل اصلی گذشتهی ساده باشد (simple past)، در حالت نقل قول می‌تواند به همان شکل باقی بماند و یا به گذشتهی کامل (past perfect) تبدیل شود.

👨🏫 وجه التزامی (subjunctive)
🖋 وجه التزامی فعل برای بیان پیشنهادات، آرزوها و احتمالات استفاده می‌شود و با وجه خبری فعل (indicative) تفاوت دارد. پس از این فعل‌ها verb word بکار می‌رود که برای همه‌ی ضمایر یکسان است و صرف نمی‌شود (بدون استفاده از modalها). برخی از کلماتی که وجه التزامی دارند عبارتند از:
✔️ advise, advisable, ask, command, demand, desire, desirable, insist, prefer, propose, recommend, request, require, suggest, urge, urgent, best, crucial, essential, important, necessary, vital, imperative, unthinkable, adamant, anxious, determined, eager, keen + that

🧑🏻🏫 یکی از ساختارهای قشنگی که در رایتینگ یا حتی اسپیکینگ میشه استفاده کرد بصورت زیر هست:
"just as..., so"
این ساختار برای بیان تشابه یا ارتباط بین دو اتفاق یا عمل استفاده میشه. یعنی یک عمل یا اتفاق توسط یک مورد دیگه رخ میده یا تحت تأثیر اون قرار میگیره. .
مثال:
1️⃣ Just as the sun sets, so does our energy level decrease.
همان‌طور که خورشید غروب میکند، انرژی ما هم کاهش می‌یابد.
2️⃣ Just as exercise benefits our physical health, so does reading benefit our mental health.

این ساختار برای بیان تشابه یا ارتباط بین دو اتفاق یا عمل استفاده میشه. یعنی یک عمل یا اتفاق توسط یک مورد دیگه رخ میده یا تحت تأثیر اون قرار میگیره. .

تفاوت بین migrate و emigrate:
👨🏫 فعل migrate برای کوچ پرندگان، حیوانات و انسان‌ها از جایی به جای دیگر (برای تهیه‌ی غذا، آب، دمای مناسب) استفاده می‌شود:
• How do birds know when to migrate and how do they find their way back home?
پرنده‌ها از کجا می‌دانند کی باید کوچ کنند و چگونه مسیرشان به خانه را پیدا می‌کنند؟
👨🏫 اما فعل emigrate فقط برای انسان بکار می‌رود و به معنی مهاجرت از یک کشور به یک کشور دیگر است:
• There were no jobs back home so we decided to emigrate.
