The digital vaccination certificate is becoming a reality and has cleared the parliamentary hurdle in Austria – ID Austria is getting its vaccination certificate. This gives the Ministry of Health sovereignty over all vaccination data of Austrians.
Largely unnoticed by the public, the Austrian parliament (ÖVP, Greens, SPÖ, NEOS) has renewed the so-called Health Telematics Act . A key part of this is the "eVaccination Pass", the digitalized, electronic vaccination pass. On Wednesday, the four parties voted in the Health Committee for the "full operation of the electronic vaccination pass". It is not possible to unsubscribe from this digital pass. The data will soon be sent to the Ministry of Health, but also to the state governments. The Epidemic Act will also be amended (along with other laws).

Von der Öffentlichkeit weitgehend unbemerkt, hat das österreichische Parlament (ÖVP, Grüne, SPÖ, NEOS) das sogenannte Gesundheitstelematikgesetz erneuert. Wesentlicher Teil davon: der „eImpfpass“, der digitalisierte, elektronische Impfpass. Die vier Parteien haben am Mittwoch im Gesundheitsausschuss für den „Vollbetrieb des elektronischen Impfpasses“ gestimmt. Abmelden kann man sich von diesem digitalen Pass nicht.
