If you were one of the many poor people living through the "industrial revolution" and the "British Empire" then there would be times that no matter how much your child begged you for food there'd be absolutely nothing you could do about it.

Though it isn't always the case, one of the main reasons that some people do not like cats is because of that person's dislike of anything with enough of a free spirit not to do exactly as they say.

The only thing more narcissistic than being cruel or neglectful towards someone who loves you is expecting to get away with it.

A clear sign as to how modernity has vandalised all forms of Britain's aesthetic is that unlike modern cars that utterly ruin photograps, cars from the previous century clearly compliment them.

Nowadays, it seems that everything that made us who we are are now but painful reminders of who we were.

Britain's pubs are the real-life fairy tale that you really can be a part of.

If Britain and her beautiful pubs do, in fact, have an equal, then I am yet to come across it.

When discussing the hardships of the past (such as the industrial revolution) or the ugliness of modernity, people will use dismissive, non-arguments to suggest that things were once worse in one way or another. Even if they were correct (which is rare) it's like saying "well, at least this punch in the face wasn't as bad as that punch in the face" instead of admitting that we should have simply made the effort to fix what we had as opposed to using neglect, persecution, suffering and the false notion of "wealth" as an excuse to create a miserable world of hypermodernisation. Wealth entirely depends on the prosperity and happiness of the people within any said nation. Without it, so-called "riches" and tacky trinkets mean nothing. This is why I often say that "progress" has been cunningly turned into what I now consider, a dirty word.
