Observe the closes and faces of #Glasgow, #Scotland between the years of 1868-1877. I wonder what happened to them. The harships of the past were always solvable if only the powers that be had ever wished to solve them.

This is incredibly heartwarming. A young man calls his sister over (in English) to come and see a young donkey. His accent is truly nostalgic. I can't help but wonder where they might have wound up? "Isn't he lovely, he's only two days old".. #Ireland, 1929

A very rare, two second video and sound clip of villagers in #Ireland dancing in the town Square sometime during the 1920s. This seems boring to modern generations, but the truth is that we've lost the smile that our forebears wore through thick and thin.
Be it a great deal of time or a great amount of distance, our thoughts, and therefore, our purpose remains with her in whichever memory or place she exists.

Denis Donahue singing "My Uncle Dan Mcann" on the 15th May 1929.
The smirk when he looks at the camera makes me smirk in return. You can tell he beams with character and confidence. How many young men today wear a shirt and tie whilst enjoying such innocent pleasures? #Ireland
Living with women...
They paid a price for each of us,
Of harship, frost, and war.
So dear was the toll they paid,
Their like are seen no more.

As nice as it is to be told you're loved, sometimes words aren't necessary to know and feel it.

Too late do most realise that those whom we neglect will simply learn to live without us.
This is #Thaxted Guildhall, a 15th Century Listed building built six hundred years ago. (Town St, Thaxted, #Dunmow, #Essex, #CM6) It stares at a beautiful town that, in turn, stares back at it. Nearly all of #England/#Britain could carry such charm if only we preserved it better.

This is absolutely first class! This antique desk sits in the bedroom of 'Andrew Carnegie' in his Birthplace Museum. (Moodie St, #Dunfermline, #Scotland, #KY12) As soon as I saw it, my eyes lit up. Pure, unadulterated class. 🪶

There's absolutely no way that a person who's being intellectually honest can say that any of the existing (modern) high rises were designed or authorized with the intention of improving our city, skylines, or country.

Sometimes, footage from the 80s cuts deeper than that of the 1800s as we see just how fast the world has left us behind. This is #Walthamstow market in the 80s, where my beautiful grandmother shopped & brought me through the 90s. The emotions I feel watching…

This one will be incredibly nostalgic for many from east #London, #Essex, etc. A drive-through #MileEnd towards #Whitechapel in the 90s. Once again, this one's a little too close to home for comfort as it brings about known memories and memories I'd no idea I'd been harbouring.
