Farewell, fiddle, and all that you wrote,
So, too, the times that you brought.
So, too, the ballads that beside you once sang,
And the culture in which you once wrought.

Farewell, Fiddle 🎻

If a professor spent years patiently studying a topic only to impatiently call others stupid when asked about it; then they'd be no professor, but a well revised ignoramus.

"Even the more intelligent Christians preach absurdities. Their injunctions are like this: 'Let no one educated, no one wise, no one sensible draw near. For these abilities are thought by us to be evils. But as for anyone ignorant, anyone stupid, anyone uneducated, anyone childish, let him come boldly.' By the fact that they themselves admit that these people are worthy of their god, they show that they want and are able to convince only the foolish, dishonorable and stupid, and only slaves, women and little children."

Bad Moon Rising
Creedence Clearwater Revival
"I see the bad moon a-risin'
I see trouble on the way
I see earthquakes and lightnin'
I see bad times today

Don't go around tonight
Well it's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise...

Hope you got your things together
Hope you are quite prepared to die
Looks like we're in for nasty weather
One eye is taken for an eye"

Do not whimper, do not weaken;
Do not lose sight, do not fall.
Do not ignite defeats beacon;
Do not flinch now, do not stall.

Be astute as the deep clouds deepen.
Be alert when alarm bells call.
Be prepared for the changing of the season;
Be strong above all for us all.

If we'd what little we wanted, we'd want for nothing.

So subdued are we by the depressing conjurations of modernism that we've almost lost all memory and conceptualisation of the simpler times that made us happy.

There's absolutely no denying that historic architecture built for accommodation, battle, or worship is still far superior in class, quality, and presentation than that of contemporary architecture.

Despite some of its historic architecture being rooted in hardship, #Edinburgh is a perfect example of how stunning European cities could be if preserved properly. Edinburgh remains photogenic because of modernisms absence.

Many have wasted years selflessly waiting for those who never appreciated us.Today's woes help this sink in. As I observe others' happiness around me, I recall every excuse of those I waited for. Every summer day or winter evening wasted is a symbol of the life we never lived.

The @ NellOfOldDrury is a glorious little pub that recently allowed us to film within its fantastic interior. As welcoming as it is wholesome, I certainly rate this #CoventGarden gem. - @BritainsPubs

This beautiful cottage was once a lovely little pub. What do you think about this holiday home? For me it's better than seeing it become a shop but I'd prefer it was still a pub.

The painful burden brought about by the melancholy of human hindsight is the realization that the greatest moments of our lives are those that we cannot relive. We can however, if time permits, create new ones. Some dream of mansions, I dream of rivers..
