The public houses we still walk past today played their parts in everything from law to war. Join us for a walk and a few refreshments as we delve into the living museums of #Britain.
The tours will last between 2-1/2 to 3 hours (usually more) and will (usually) end in a pub.
Prices: Β£20 per ticket (for over 18s),
16-18: Β£10
Under 16s: Free (If accompanied by a paying adult)
Thank you to those who've attended so far. I look forward to seeing you again as well as meeting new people. π€

Imagine being so scared of a few evil names being exposed that you make the entirety of the Internet clarify its age and identity just to see pictures of pubs or flowers.

When I refer to how presentable people used to be, naysayers will always refer to the poor conditions that many lived in (which I also discuss). But, not only did many (certainly not all) poor people still look smarter than modern times, let me point out that even for wealthy people, looking smart required a great deal more effort than it does today. But, despite this, they still managed. Only very rich people could have showers in the late 1800s, and even then, they'd be awful compared to basic systems nowadays. Only the very rich had indoor toilets, while everyone else had to use outdoor lavatories and have freezing cold baths. We can make all the excuses we want as to why we've let ourselves decline, but at the end of it all, we, and therefore society, are products of our own efforts.
