There is no lower form of human life than a person who acts the victim for the reactions they've caused.

#GantsHill station, which opened in 1947, takes its influence from the Mayakovskaya #Moscow Metro in #Russia. I've never been entirely sure how I feel about it.

That fundamental point of childhood where you suddenly realise that you don't have girls after all.

This is the last photograph of Marco Siffredi (22 May 1979 β 8 September 2002), who was the first French snowboarder and mountaineer to descend #MountEverest on a snowboard in 2001 via the Norton Couloir. However, upon his second attempt in 2002, he disappeared after attempting to snowboard the Hornbein Couloir; his body has never been found. I usually condemn pointles life risking activities and believe our families didn't raise us to die on motorbiking, skydiving, and so on. For me, trusting your life with contraptions or technology for thrills is more selfish than impressive. I also doubt that our families wish us to waste the life they spent years creating and protecting. However, due to the romantic nature of this example, I hypocritically see this as different. If there was a way to go, I can imagine this would be an interesting one. For me, Marco Siffredi was the living embodiment of the term "get busy living, or get busy dying."

The only time that modern cities look pleasant is when you have a clear view of the lights they exude in the dead of night. This unique, unatural style of beauty depends solely on electricity and nightlight. Once natural daylight returns, there is no such beauty. Only ugliness.

As we seem to noticeably and suspiciously have less insects as of late, I'm sure it will only be a matter of time until we have fewer birds, spiders and all other manner of creatures which depend on them.

Thought we've all enjoyed using technology, I'd give anything to get back the time I've spent using it.
