Sometimes, footage from the 80s cuts deeper than that of the 1800s as we see just how fast the world has left us behind. This is #Walthamstow market in the 80s, where my beautiful grandmother shopped & brought me through the 90s. The emotions I feel watching…

This one will be incredibly nostalgic for many from east #London, #Essex, etc. A drive-through #MileEnd towards #Whitechapel in the 90s. Once again, this one's a little too close to home for comfort as it brings about known memories and memories I'd no idea I'd been harbouring.

Many are unaware that after WW1/WW2, many citizens were given 'prefabricated' homes due to so many buildings being bombed. Ironically, the thought of having an indoor toilet, a private living room, and a garden would have seemed a palace to those who'd lived through hardship.
In this video made by @ ChelseaDan5, and myself, a few years ago, we visited the last of the largest prefabricated sites that were built by German prisoners of war. At the time the site was being developed so I darent imagine what's happened there since.

Just because you fill something up doesn't mean it isn't empty.
Image 1 is an abandoned village in #Iceland. Image 2 is the bustling area of #CanaryWharf, East #London.
The obvious beauty of this empty village only proves the fallacious excuses of economic "progress."

A glorious, antique photograph of the #Wine Vaults in #London Docks. Nowadays our alcohol arrives on lorries, planes and big, boring ships. Once, our booze adventured the seven seas the old fashioned way just so #England's wine lovers could indulge. 🍷 @lostandlivingpubs
Good afternoon, good evening and goodnight from the beautiful #BethnalGreen, East #London
I just got hit on so hard that I feel as if I just survived a serious job interview. I'll need a week or so to recover.
