๐Ÿ”†Upholders of strategic autonomy

India and france are neutral partners where multipolarity has become a reality and sovereign equality of nations an important principle

When France and India come together, commitment to this relationship based on shared values too comes into play.

Liberty involves nations enjoying freedom from being forced into taking sides and choosing what is in their national interest. It is called โ€œstrategic autonomyโ€. India has steadfastly upheld the principle in its relations with different countries.

What is the bone of contention?
What are the โ€˜Bali Paragraphsโ€™?
As G-20 President, what is Indiaโ€™s focus
?

โœ…The G20 Summit was held in the Bali island in November 2022 when Indonesia hosted the event under its presidentship. The Bali Declaration was a joint statement that came out at the end of the summit, summarising the commitments of the member countries towards the world and ways to resolve the issues at hand.
โœ…The Para 3 specifically holds the Ukraine conflict responsible for existing global economic fragilities, including increasing inflation, disruption in supply and chain and growing food and energy insecurity.
โœ…Para 4 of the Bali Declaration, meanwhile, focused more on the humanitarian side, usage of weapons and modes to resolve the conflict.
โœ…Both Russia and China were against its inclusion in the joint communique of the G20
