Popularity breeds popularity, and trying to dethrone WhatsApp is an uphill battle for Telegram. On Android, tap the three-dot Menu button in the top-right of any Telegram chat and choose Mute notifications. On iOS, tap the contact or group name at the top of the screen and choose Mute. Once you turn the auto-night mode on, the app will automatically switch to dark mode at the scheduled time.
