Our barn cat went missing about 4 days ago. We had a pair of coyotes wipe out a number of chickens a few weeks ago. We figured it was them that got him.
However, I am happy to report that our beloved barn cat is back! He was given lots of pets and admiration. We need you here, buddy! Lots of mice to snare.

Some of the "ethics" of psychotherapy is about keeping counselors honest to a modality so that their politics don't sneak in. Psychodynamic psychotherapy, for example, is highly focused on the childhood's explanatory power for adult dysfunction.
Once in a while, you will get a leftie psychotherapist with a LOT of integrity about sticking to the modality. These people can be a tremendous help. But yeah, usually if their politics are shit, then they have monkey brain and can't offer you depth. Then everything is about a show where they hide their incapacity for depth or put it on you to feel bad about their lack of depth. Real mind job stuff, mate.

Because they're highly paid, a lot of psychotherapists develop a moral certainty about the society they live in - which is usually a vanity preyed upon by their "continuing education" licensure requirements. Some of the most full of shit people in America are professors (go figure) who run these continuing education programs. Sometimes you think they'd be more productive in munitions factories during a full nuclear exchange with Putin and Xi.

Being a highly paid fartlib (get to live in Vail, no problem) is dangerous. The money is such confirmation bias when really you're just a cog in a referral machine that is eating up everyone who left Jesus, forgot property rights, and did too much butt stuff.
If you derive your sense of humor from politics, you're more of a stick in the mud than you realize.
Happy Father's Day! It's a good day to spend time with your family and field their feedback. How's it going? How is your parenting, for them?

The people who have not processed their childhoods are starting to cluster together in rather large numbers.
