One of the nagging issues I have with WhatsApp is its extremely limited text editing features. For example, if someone sends a message, you canβt select a part of text from the message. You will have to copy the whole message and then edit it out in the small text field which frankly is very annoying. However, Telegram has brought a great way to select and copy a part of a message. Tap and hold on a message to select it first and then again tap and hold to select your part of the message. Thatβs ingenious, right? Polls and Quiz Mode Pin Messages in Channels
Telegram also has an auto-night mode that you can use to save your eyes at night! Now, tap If Inactive For at the bottom of the screen and choose a preferred option like 1 week or 1 month in the popup menu. Send Uncompressed Media To use this feature, head over to the hamburger menu by swiping right and choose Contacts. Choose βFind People Nearbyβ and here you will see a list of contacts who have chosen to be visible. You can also scroll down to see all nearby groups and the option to create your own. Users who wish to be discovered by this feature can turn it on in the hamburger menu/People Nearby/Make myself visible.
App Customizing Options and Themes In general, Telegram is as safe or safer than most other chat apps. It could be argued that WhatsAppβs end-to-end encryption on all messaging is a better approach, but the companyβs ties to Facebook/Meta may turn off privacy advocates. There's also a hidden menu that appears when you long-press on the Send button. Choose Schedule message to delay sending until a time in the future. You can also tap Send When Online to send the message when the other person is next active on Telegram. Telegram has announced a host of new features for its users. The social messaging app is getting features like Status emoji, Infinite reactions, improved login flow and others. Some of these features are available for all users, while some are available for Premium members only. Hereβs a look at all the features that are coming to Telegram
Does it ever happen that you send a message, and within a few seconds you find out a glaring typo? Well, there is an edit button to save you on Telegram, but not so much on Twitter. All you have to do is select the message and tap on the βEdit (pen)β icon at the top and you can easily edit the message. However, it will show you an βEditedβ label after you have made the changes. Also, there are no time-bound restrictions for editing messages on Telegram. You can only edit messages up to 48 hours of sending them (forever if the messages are posted in your βSaved Messagesβ chat). Letβs say you have enabled the βSlow Modeβ and set an interval of 1 minute. Now members in the group can only send one message per minute. A timer will show them how long they have to wait before sending the next message.
