At what point can you say it's ragging?

My friend got into a word fight with one of the seniors. Both of are older than them by atleast 6 years (we needed a degree to advance on our career that we were already working, that kinda makes us thier seniors, professionally😅). They were talking as if they are superior, and My friend said to them that they don't need to show superiority. Which kinda triggered them.

Later they came up with 15 people to confront him about this and i also got involved. It was only word plays and later some teachers came and send them away. We were called in by the teachers, we said it's just kids doing stuff and laughed it off.
Later that day, they post something on public platform that there are lots of seniors, and juniors are small in number as like a threatening way. Which not only effect all the students who are not involved but also the good seniors we met as well.

But the next day, we were getting lot of mean looks from other seniors who were not involved and a lot of seniors came in front of class and pointing at us, then whereever we go they make weird noises just to trigger us. And it is also effecting the other kids as well.

So, i went to the teachers, who said they'd solve this, and told them about this issue. The teacher we went to told us to point out all the seniors or give thier names. I told them, Am i supposed to go and ask each one of them what's their name and note it down? Take the cctv footage and find them. They were not interested in solving it but to burying it. I had to use words like "legal action" to make them to take me seriously.
Eventually we talked it out, the post was put up by some other senior who came with them. We said sorry, they said sorry. All over. I think.

I wanna know, can you call this as ragging, or if someone in my position can actually take legal action. should i have handled it differently?

Opinions Please. I wrote something (actually it's been an year but only 2 of my friends read it...) so please :)

ഞാൻ മരിച്ചു. ഇപ്പോ സംഭവിച്ചേ ഉള്ളൂ. ചുറ്റും എൻ്റെ വേണ്ടപ്പെട്ടവർ അന്ധാളിച്ച് നിൽക്കുന്നു. എന്തിന്? ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ കിടക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയിട്ട് ദിവസങ്ങൾ ആയല്ലോ? പെട്ടെന്ന് എന്താണ് ഈ ഭാവമാറ്റം? അല്ല, ഇതുവരെ ഉള്ളത് പോലെ അല്ല. മാറ്റങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ട്. എനിക്ക് അത് അറിയാൻ പറ്റുന്നുണ്ട്. ശരീരം അയയുന്നു. അവസാനത്തെ തുള്ളി ജീവനും പോയത് കൊണ്ടാണോ? എൻ്റെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ അന്ധാളിപ്പ് കരച്ചിലായി അണ പൊട്ടിയൊഴികുന്നു. രണ്ട് മിനുട്ട് ആയതെ ഉള്ളൂ. എൻ്റെ കണ്ണുകൾ തഴുകി അടച്ചു. ഇനി കാഴ്ചകൾ ഇല്ല, വിവരണം തീർത്തും വിരസം ആയിരിക്കും.

ഞാൻ മരിച്ചിട്ട് ഇപ്പോ മണിക്കൂർ ഒന്നായി. ചുറ്റുമുള്ളവർ എണ്ണമില്ലാത്ത ഫോൺ വിളികളിൽ ഏർപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത് എനിക്ക് കേൾക്കാം. ശവം എന്നും ബോഡിയെന്നും ഒക്കെ ആണ് എന്നെ ഇപ്പോ വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. രസായിരിക്കുന്നു…മണിക്കൂർ ഒന്നേ ആയുള്ളൂന്നെ.. ക്ലോക്ക് ഓടുന്നത് എനിക്ക് കേൾക്കാം.. തീർച്ചയാ..ഒറ്റ മണിക്കൂർ കൊണ്ട് എനിക്ക് പേരും വിലാസവും ഇല്ലാണ്ട് ആയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇത്രയേ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളോ ഞാൻ?

രണ്ടുമൂന്ന് മണിക്കൂറുകൾ കടന്നു പോയിരിക്കണം. എന്നെ ആംബുലൻസിൽ കയറ്റി വീട്ടിലെത്തിച്ചു. കണ്ണുകൾ അടച്ചതു കൊണ്ട് ഒന്നും കാണാൻ പറ്റീല. ഞാൻ ചിരിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് ആണോ കിടക്കുന്നെ? മുഖം കോടിയിരിക്കുവാണോ? അറിയാൻ വഴിയില്ല. ഫ്രീസറിൻ്റെ ചില്ലിലേക്ക് നോക്കാന്ന് വെച്ചാൽ കണ്ണുകൾ തുറക്കാനും പറ്റുന്നില്ല. ആകെ തണുക്കുന്നു. എന്നെ എന്തിനാ ഇങ്ങനെ കിടത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നെ? ഞാൻ അങ്ങ് ചീഞ്ഞ് പോകൂന്ന് പേടിച്ചിട്ടാണോ? എന്ത് വിഡ്ഢിത്തം ആണ്!

സമയം പുലർച്ചെ മൂന്ന് മണി. അതായത് ഞാൻ മരിച്ചിട്ട് ഇപ്പോ ആറ് മണിക്കൂറുകൾ ആയിരിക്കണം. ഇപ്പോൾ എൻ്റെ ആൾക്കാര് ആരും കരയുന്നത് കേൾക്കുന്നില്ല. ക്ഷീണം ആയിരിക്കാം. എനിക്ക് ഇങ്ങനെ കിടന്നാൽ പോരെ. അവർക്ക് അങ്ങനെ അല്ലല്ലോ. കാണാൻ വരുന്നോർക്ക് ഒക്കെ മൂടുപടം മാറ്റി കാണിച്ച് കൊടുക്കണം, എന്നെ കുഴിച്ച് മൂടാൻ ഉള്ള കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കണം, വരുന്നോർക്ക് ഒക്കെ ചായ കൊടുക്കണം, ഇതൊക്കെ പോരാഞ്ഞ് ഞാൻ ഇടക്കിടെ ദുർഗന്ധം വമിക്കുന്ന ദ്രുതം ഒഴുക്കുന്നു..അത് തുടച്ചു മാറ്റണം.. വേണോന്ന് വെച്ച് ചെയ്യണത് അല്ല, എന്നെക്കൊണ്ട് ആവുന്നില്ല നിർത്താൻ.

വിഡ്ഢിത്തം അല്ല. ഞാൻ ശരിക്കും ചീയുന്നുണ്ട്. ദുർഗന്ധം കവച്ചു വെക്കാൻ കർപ്പൂരം പുകച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കാഴ്ച്ച വസ്തു ആയുള്ള ഈ കിടപ്പ് എന്നെ ശ്വാസം മുട്ടിക്കുന്നു.

സമയം എട്ടു മണി. അയഞ്ഞ ശരീരം ഇപ്പോ കല്ല് പോലെ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു. വരുന്നോർ ഒക്കെ കൊതുകിനെ തല്ലുന്നുണ്ട്. എന്നെ കടിക്കുന്നില്ലാല്ലോ. എൻ്റെ സിരകളിലെ രക്തം ഉറഞ്ഞിരിക്കണം. ഞാൻ അപ്പോ വിളറി വെളുത്ത് കാണും. ചുംബനങ്ങൾ നിന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞാൻ ചീയുന്നത് കൊണ്ടാവും. ഒന്ന് കൊണ്ട് കുഴിച്ച് മൂടിയിരുന്നേൽ..ഈ കിടപ്പ് സഹിക്കാൻ ആകുന്നില്ല.

ഹാവൂ. എന്നെ വീണ്ടും ആംബുലൻസിൽ കയറ്റി. ഇനിയങ്ങോട്ട് വിവരണം ഒന്നുകൂടി വിരസം ആയിരിക്കും. മൂക്കിൽ പഞ്ഞി വെച്ചു. ഇനി മണവും ഇല്ല. നന്നായി. എൻ്റെ ശരീരത്തിൻ്റെ നാറ്റം എനിക്ക് തന്നെ സഹിക്കാൻ പറ്റാണ്ട് ആയിരുന്നു. അഞ്ചു മിനുട്ടുകൊണ്ട് സ്ഥലം എത്തി. എനിക്കുള്ള കുഴി നേരത്തെ തയ്യാറാക്കി വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നെ അതിലേക്ക് എടുത്ത് വെച്ചു. ഇട്ടു എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് ആവും ശരി. അവരെ കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തുകയല്ല, എനിക്ക് നല്ല ശരീര ഭാരമുണ്ട്, അതിപ്പോൾ കല്ല് പോലെ ഉറക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. എടുത്തിടാൻ അവർ നന്നേ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിയിരിക്കണം. എന്തായാലും സമാധാനം ആയി. ഇനി അവർക്കൊക്കെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് പോവാം. നല്ല ഭയമുണ്ട്, പക്ഷേ ഇനിയും ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിക്കുന്നത് ശരിയല്ല.

പിറ്റേന്ന് ആയി. ഞാൻ ആകെ അളിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. എൻ്റെ ശരീരമാസകലം പുഴുക്കൾ അരിക്കുന്നു. ഭാഗ്യം ആരും കാണുന്നില്ല ഈ കിടപ്പ്. കഴിഞ്ഞ ആഴ്ച്ച പറമ്പിൽ ഇട്ടു മൂടിയ പട്ടിയും ഇതുപോലെ ആയിരിക്കണം കിടക്കുന്നത്, മാറ്റം ഒന്നും കാണില്ല. അതിനും കൂടെ ആരുമില്ല, അതും കൂരിരുട്ടിൽ ആണ്, അതും ചീഞ്ഞളിയിന്നുണ്ട്. ഞാനും അതുപോലെ തന്നെ. എനിക്കും കൂടെ ആരുമില്ല, ഞാനും കൂരിരുട്ടിൽ ആണ്, ഞാനും ചീഞ്ഞളിയിന്നുണ്ട്. ഒരു വ്യത്യാസോമില്ല. എന്നിട്ടും ഞാൻ മരിച്ചു, അത് ചത്തു. അനാവശ്യമായ അലങ്കാരം. ഇനി അതിൻ്റെ ആവശ്യമില്ല.

ഞാൻ ചത്തു. ഒരു ദിവസം ആയി.

Is govt application fees getting little bit out of control?

So, I am one of those people who have the older laminated Driving Licenses. I was trying to upgrade the same to the PVC type and while applying I wanted to ensure that the details are updated as well including the bio metrics like your photo and signature. While the name and address is correct the name is abbreviation of the fully name and I wanted to change that along with the temporary address (which is the Driving Schools address).

Anyhow, to my surprise the total amount came to ₹1025 which was quite unexpected. I don't know if this is an issue with the website or that it would genuinely cost that much for the update? For reference the cost of getting a new license (Only application fees) is around ₹900 (Per MVD site). Is this a joke lol? Only in Kerala that they will charge this much to keep the identity \\ documents up-tot-date.


The disclaimer is even funnier, "Give us the money now, if you feel you been charged double, please got to the RTO and collect the refund". This is extortion in plain sight. One should give the user the service fee of having to go through a stupid site to fill in the details. No joke, I work in IT and it took me little over 1.5 hours to even get to this page (Granted I watched a video on who to do this because the site if full of non-intuitive words).
