Summer heat and public transport

Isn't this the right time to restart the low floor AC buses with wider coverage? Many would prefer traveling in an AC bus than a two wheeler in this extreme heat. Only if the govt was sensible, we could have made KSRTC run with decent profits.

KSRTC: A Rollercoaster Ride

I booked a KSRTC low floor bus from Thambanoor at 12:00 PM to Vytillla . It started 30 min late, didn't know this would be an start of a rollercoaster.

Almost 2 hours into the journey, the driver stopped the bus on the side. At first, I thought we were waiting for someone. Ten minutes later, he switched off the AC. When asked, he said the bus had overheated and wouldn't continue.

After 30 minutes, they transferred us to another bus to Kottiyam main bus stand. While talking to my fellow passenger, I learned that the low-floor bus that left before us had also broken down😑.

Finally they stuffed passengers from both buses into a single one.

Currently at Kayamkulam bus stand, they have taken this bus to the workshop for check something. Overheard the bus driver saying something wrong with this bus too

I'm not sure when/whether I'll reach Vytilla 😕

P.S: I have booked the train tickets for next week, no longer trusting KSRTC

Kerala water Authority issues

Location: Trivandrum
They switched off the water in our area 3 days ago for some ”repairs”, and it was supposed to be turned on yesterday night. But we are yet to see even a drop of water. This is the second time they’ve done this within the last 3 weeks.

This has to be illegal right? We pay for water and if they are switching off the supply for an entire area, for more than 24 hours, shouldn’t they supplement that with water from a tanker at least?
