How to Love a Malayali Man

I am a 24-year-old Filipina who has developed feelings for a kind and softly-spoken Malayali man, who is 30 years old, completely strangers that crossed paths months ago.

Ever since then, I have observed a significant number of interracial relationships, predominantly in the Middle East (UAE). I never pictured myself falling in love with someone of a different race, particularly in terms of religion.

However, here I am.

I love him dearly, despite of our differences. I love him not because of anything he could offer to me, but I love him for who he is. Tbh, nothing happened between us, no sexual thing involved, it’s just a genuine love, respect and pure intentions. I'm both happy and frightened at the same time. I want to discover what makes him feel loved, what brings him joy, and what makes him feel secure. I want to love him the way he wanted to be loved and I hope I would be able to provide him with the love he deserves.

Non Keralites here who speak/know Malayalam?

How did you learn it, how good is your Malayalam, and how long did it take you?
What kind of obstacles did you face integrating into Malayali society?

Note that I'm talking about non Keralites (as in you migrated to Kerala) and not non Malayali communities like Tamilians and Konkanis who are native to/born and raised in Kerala.

Is our TV News just full of petty politics news?

Everytime I am on vacation I end up watching Manorama news etc and it is just petty politics news people fighting each other on small in-fighting etc. No useful news, or things happening out in the world etc. I may be exaggerating but it is a huge part of daily news.

Lottery ticket - Prize money blackmail issue

How much of an investment would a buying a piece of land be?

We are an NRI family of 3 in our 30s and recently a neighbor in our hometown put his plot up for sale. Our hometown is in a rural area - I mean we do get Amazon deliveries but no Swiggy or the likes! My husband's parents currently live there and it is their wish that we purchase that plot for our future. For some background, the plot is at a height from road level and does not have a decent road to access (cars can, but no trucks or buses can make the 90° turns), but the soil is rich and has plenty of water that my in law says will never dry up. We've had many discussions on the matter and my stand is that it may be a burden for us since any work on it may be quite difficult due to the lack of proper access and also would put us in a tight spot with our savings. My husband on the other hand says it's good to have some more land in our name, for krishi purposes or to sell it as plots.
What are your opinions my fellow Keralites? I'm sorry I can't give out any more specifics!
