Soft skin, round face

Boundless energy

Everything is a race

 

Meeting friends, summer days

Get together for a warm embrace

Icecream, bright smiles, fun games

 

Never bored, got time

There is still trees to climb

Wonderful imagination of a child

 

But they don't know what's coming

They don't know the dark of the night

They don't know how vicious of a fight they will have to go through

Still believing in a better world for me and you

With their wonderful childlike soul and view

 

High hopes, big dreams

Promises no one can keep

Hiding from horrors while asleep

 

Rotten, forgotten

Families torn apart

Sorrow grows inside the heart

 

Glory days, left behind

Memories buried deep inside

Death of the child

 


All that grows will die

And all children do cry

But in order to fall one must fly

So at least spread your wings and try
