Support people of Belarus fighting for their freedom!
Please donate and share this fundraiser with your community!
It’s been 3 months of resistance, protests, fear, and grief. It’s been 3 months of solidarity, hope, love, and support. Never ever in history, have the people of Belarus been so united.
Despite all the violence and pain the dictator and his accomplices are causing the people of Belarus, they won’t stop standing for their rights.
It wouldn’t have been possible without your support. Each of you who supported BYSOL (Belarus Solidarity Foundation) financially, stands together with the Belarusians on their path to freedom and democracy.
BYSOL co-founders, Alexis Kendoo and Andrej Stryzhak, announce a new fundraiser to back the social initiatives of different professional groups. Solidarity, transparency, and peer-to-peer support is the only way to build a new Belarusian society and to get rid of the dictator.
BYSOL is already supporting:
– Belarusian Sports Solidarity Foundation
– Belarusian Culture Solidarity Foundation
– Belarusian Medical Solidarity Foundation
– BYPOL initiative (ex. police and military who quit to support the people of Belarus)
– 12 strike committees all over Belarus
Also, BYSOL continues to support those who were fired because of their political views. In 3 months, BYSOL received 2434 applications for financial aid, verified 1322 of them, and supported 860 people with €1.605.833 in compensations. People of Belarus are not afraid to express their political views when they know that they and their families will be taken care of in case they lose their jobs.
Let’s stand together against oppression and win.

A monument to Roman Bondarenko, beaten to death by the siloviki, has sprung up on the Change Square. People have set up tents there and spent the whole night watching it. All the previous monuments to the people killed by the police were promptly destroyed by the regime.

Protesters in Minsk are bombarded with stun grenades
Today a traditional Sunday march is ongoing in Minsk (and across the country), further fueled by a recent death of Roman Bondarenko, who died after severe beating by police.

A record number of security officials and special equipment have been brought to Minsk today. Access to metro station Pushkinskaya (metro and surface traffic), which was declared as the assembly point of the protest, is completely blocked. The security forces harshly detained and dispersed the protesters into the courtyards, where the arrests continued. Special means (tear gas, stun grenades) have been used to restrain protesters.

As of 12:30 am Minsk time, at the Pushkiskaya metro station area, the clean-up operation is almost complete: there are almost no people left here, the security forces are just running around the yards and stops, detaining the few who remain.

On Pushkinskaya, security forces are trying to help a guy who is lying on the ground unconscious
Minsk. The security forces got to the "Square of Changes", surrounding the memorial to Roman Bondarenko and people who are protecting it. Several people were detained. But then the unexpected happened - people in uniform and helmets stopped, and began to retreat. It seems that at a certain crucial moment they were ordered not to touch the national memorial in memory of Roman Bondarenko.

All of the people at the Square of Change have been detained. There is no room in the police van. Viasna (a human rights advocacy group) reports 323 arrests, however, this is not the final number.
The siloviki are destroying the memorial to Roman Bondarenko: putting flowers, tents, and lanterns into trash bags. The Square of Change is completely surrounded by the police. Meanwhile, the detained people are still standing queue to enter the police van.
