Maria Kalesnikava's friend Tatyana Nikitina shared a part of the letter from Maria on Facebook. There she tells what she does in the cell and what records she sets.
Tatiana says that Maria already in her first letters mentioned that she did exercises when they are taken out for walks. And in the last, she noted that she was engaged in sports in the cell:
“I do fitness actively and look younger than two months ago,” she writes. “Highest scores are 350 squats in two sets, 100 push-ups in three sets. Stretching for twine is what I really want to! Stretching for the back and the whole body. If you give me a clue to some cool exercises, I'd be very, very happy!”
In a difficult situation, Maria does not lose her optimism: “During recent years, I slept for 4-5 hours a day, and now I sleep for 8. This is something unimaginable!”

Belarusians who were repressed and received money from abroad via the By_Help initiative as goodwill from Belarus ex-pats can no longer access their private bank accounts. The transfers were well within the legal gift amount but were frozen regardless.
Andrej Stryzhak, BYSOL and By_Help co-founder, underlines: “In fact, the money was stolen by the government.” He clarifies, “At the moment, there have been no reports of similar problems with payments from BYSOL.”
“In any case, we will provide assistance, just other opportunities will be used for this. Thanks to the support of the country and the world, the help that Belarusians receive is unique and will continue,” Stryzhak concludes.

“I'm a Belarusian. Together we are the Belarusian nation. We must have freedom of speech, freedom of expression. Instead we see siloviki beating and mutilating peaceful people. They don't care who to beat, women, men, or children. They don't care if people get disfigured for life,” his statement reads.

Protesters in Minsk are bombarded with stun grenades
Today a traditional Sunday march is ongoing in Minsk (and across the country), further fueled by a recent death of Roman Bondarenko, who died after severe beating by police.
A record number of security officials and special equipment have been brought to Minsk today. Access to metro station Pushkinskaya (metro and surface traffic), which was declared as the assembly point of the protest, is completely blocked. The security forces harshly detained and dispersed the protesters into the courtyards, where the arrests continued. Special means (tear gas, stun grenades) have been used to restrain protesters.
As of 12:30 am Minsk time, at the Pushkiskaya metro station area, the clean-up operation is almost complete: there are almost no people left here, the security forces are just running around the yards and stops, detaining the few who remain.

Minsk. The security forces got to the "Square of Changes", surrounding the memorial to Roman Bondarenko and people who are protecting it. Several people were detained. But then the unexpected happened - people in uniform and helmets stopped, and began to retreat. It seems that at a certain crucial moment they were ordered not to touch the national memorial in memory of Roman Bondarenko.
