北师港浸大香港互联网专线或将永久关停
消息指，北师港浸大（UIC）的香港专线被学生举报，或将永久关停。
据悉，UIC并无接入大陆不少高校的“教育网”，从而无法经由“教育网”有着较为宽松审查政策的国际出口访问国外学术资源；因而在此前严管时期，官方仍默许UIC搭设专线开展活动。香港专线的永久关停，或将对UIC的学术研究带来不少影响。不少师生表示，仅通过国内商业网络进行学术研究与教学活动与获取资料时，不少功能无法正常使用，带来极大麻烦。
同时，消息人士还指出，类似的情况也发生在“北理珠”身上：他们称，“北理珠”的专线被举报后，学校IT部门拒绝关停，被“红头文件”勒令限期整改；因此，UIC此次被举报后“乖乖就范”。他们认为，如此的行为，有如“美丽新世界”，认为举报的学生“政治觉悟‘高’”。
近年来对国际互联网的访问受到更为严格的审查，也给学术研究带来了不少的负面影响。

Postponement of the second semester of 2019-20 academic year
Dear students,
Due to the serious impact of the new-type Coronavirus outbreak recently, for the safety of all the students and staff, the College decided to postpone the start of second semester of 2019-20 academic year for one week, that means the second semester will start from 12 Feb 2020.
The teaching materials will be uploaded to iSpace in due course for your study at home. For students who are not feeling well especially having fever or cough symptoms, please stay at home and leave application can be made to your Divisions by Email.

Some events originally scheduled at the beginning of the second semester will be rescheduled accordingly, like student registration, course add/drop exercise, grade appeal, application for inter-programme transfer and etc. Please pay close attention to the latest notice released via Email by the Academic Registry. We will continue monitoring the situation closely, and make further adjustment if necessary.
During the special period, please take good care of yourselves and your family, do take necessary protective measures and avoid going to the crowded places. Wish you all and your family a safe new year holiday!

北师港浸大新型冠状病毒感染肺炎疫情防控工作小组通知
全体师生员工、来校访问人员：
为做好新型冠状病毒感染疫情防控工作，根据上级疫情防控指示精神，为切实加强校园人员、车辆管理，结合我校实际情况，经学校研究决定，从即日起学校将在各校门实行进出管制，具体通知如下：
1. 从即日起，学校行政楼车库出入口、校名石出入口、大巴车场出入口封闭，暂不对车辆和校外人员开放。校内人员确实需要进入校园的必须得到防控工作小组成员杨少华先生（物业及校园发展处 处长）的同意并接受安保人员体温测量、身份登记后才能进入校园。根据政府部门的要求，所有同学在学校正式开学前不得提前返校。
2. 禁止校外车辆进校，校外车辆不能进入校园停放，因公车辆和校内教职工车辆确需停放至校内可由校内相关人员先申请，获得进校许可后方能入校，并需接受安保人员检查、消毒和登记。
3. 所有湖北省车牌的车辆谢绝入校，学校谢绝一切参观校园的校外人员。
4. 学校门卫将对所有进校人员进行红外体温测试，如有明显发热等疑似患者的症状，学校将禁止其进入学校，若发现校内在岗人员有发热情况，请及时通报学校医务室和管理人员。
5. 请各位师生员工严格按照要求，积极配合疫情防控工作，尽量不要外出，不要提前返校，外出需戴好口罩做好个人防护，共同维护校园安全。

Notice from UIC Working Group on Prevention and Control of New Coronavirus Infection and Pneumonia.
Dear teachers , staff , students and visitors:
In view of the present situation on campus, to better prevent and control the spread of new Coronavirus and to strengthen management of campus personnel and vehicles according to the instructions of the superior epidemic prevention and control, the college management team, after careful deliberation, has decided to implement the following in and out of campus control measures with immediate effect:
1. Entrance to the garage of the College Administration Building, the College Stone and the Coach Parking Lot will be closed to vehicles and off-campus personnel. On-campus personnel who need to enter the campus must obtain consent from Mr. Lawrence Yeung -Director of the Estates and Campus Development Office and member of the Prevention and Control Working Group, and will be subject to body temperature checks and identity registration. All students are not allowed to return to the campus before classes officially resume.
2. Off-campus vehicles are forbidden from entering the college and cannot be parked on campus. Entry permission must be applied and obtained from relevant campus personnel before any public vehicles and vehicles of on-campus staff can be parked on campus. All vehicles parked on campus must be inspected, disinfected and registered by security personnel.
3. All vehicles with licence plates in Hubei Province are not allowed to enter the college. The college refuses all campus tours and visits.
4. All incoming staff are subject to body temperature checks. The college will not permit entry of any incoming staff with a fever and other symptoms of suspected infection. Please inform the College Medical office and the college management team if any on-campus staff are detected of fever.
5. All teachers and students are required to strictly follow the epidemic prevention and control measures, not to go out unless necessary, not to return to college before classes officially resume, wear face masks in public and join hands to maintain campus safety
