All this news from Karachi, Lahore, Faislabad, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Sargodha, Quetta, Lahore, Peshawar, Abbotabad.... I dont know what is true or not but a lot of news coming.

Has Quetta really fallen to BLA? Are there really serial blasts in Lahore? Is Karachi really attacked? Has Indian navy really been activated? Are we going for naval blockade of Pakistan? Imran supporters really protesting? Lots of confusing news coming in.

Indian media is not reporting pakistani developments fast enough. And Pakistani media is eerily silent, not reporting things like this. World media like BBC is more interested in Pope election and UK-US trade deals.

One thing is certain. All three of our services are in action.

Aisi aisi khabare aa rahi hai ki lag raha hai kahi sapne mein to nahi. It might be little too early to believe in this. It might not have happened at all... but here goes this bizarre update:

- Mir Yar Baloch (known Baloch writer) claims Balochistan's independence from Pakistan
- He urges India to allow a Baloch embassy in New Delhi
- Calls for UN peacekeepers and Pakistani army withdrawal from Balochistan

My understanding of news scenario:

On Indian side, there is tightlip control. Only official communication. But they are not revealing much. MEA has got handle on this and even InB don't know much. Ministers are also not allowed to speak.

Indian private media me there is least credibility. Still Shiv Aroor for war updates and Sidhant Sibal for diplomatic. They have got some credibility. But even they are not speaking without much confirmation.

Local people sharing videos on tweeter. But that doesn't tell the whole picture.

Pakistani media: following Geo TV, Samaa TV, Dunya TV and Ary TV. They are not telling much. But their various people in establishment are loud mouth. They are speaking random things.

Internationally, BBC is least commenting. Its occupied more with Pope election. CNN and Sky News have emerged as somewhat credible and are reporting about it.Reuters publishing some news. Al Jazeera totally Pakistani line. But by and large, in absence of local sources speaking, they don't have much to report.

All and all credible news is scarce. India is not speaking much while Pakistan is speaking too much.

This is totally new kind of information warfare. I was up entire night and trying to get some news. From officers posted in various states, from PIB/InB/MEA people, from students in border states or from sources in Military BRO etc. None knows what's happening beyond local visuals of massive drone attacks from Pakistan being succesfully stalled by India.

All news of Karachi blast, movement of Indian navy near Karachi, BLA capturing Quetta, Imran protesters being aggressive, Asif Munir being jailed, Shahbaz going to Dubai and Tanks movement in Jaisalmer are either unconfirmed or confirmed to be false.

Samba/Uri sector infiltration failure is confirmed. Most focus of drone attack was from Kashmir to Rajathan, and mostly in Jammu region. But a couple of drones fell in Kutchh also. Indian jets down is being confirmed internationally by Americans, not India. Pakistani jets down is still to be confirmed.

Today second half we will have MEA's third PC. Lets wait for the official word.

One more observation:

Till 2000s, we always used to hear that Pakistani diplomacy was better than ours.

They were able to get support from the west even after lying a lot. They were also succesful in creating general anti India opinion in western media and academia. Pakistani elites coming from feudal background also had long cultivated personal relations with western establishment. Our people used to face some difficulty. It used to be difficult for us to protect our interest.

But things seem to have changed. By and large our diplomacy seems much better, more polished and professional today. In public as well as behind the doors.

Follow western media if you are interested in these developments.

It started again tonight. Jammu region is blacked out. Sirens in Srinagar.

Pak drones have been sighted in Jammu, Samba & Pathankot. They are being engaged, says the Army.

Take care. Also, take non sense news channels in India with pinch of salt.

There are some reports of drone attacks on Amritsar.

Even yesterday such reports of failed attacks had come. Pakistan media said today that India herself attacked Amritsar to create enmity between Sikhs and Muslims and thus it was a false flag operation.

For Pakistan, everything from 26/11, 9/11, Uri, Pathankot, Pahalgam, everything is False Flag Operation. Our armed forces will show them the difference between what is false and what is true.

The Wire, a leftist news portal in India, got blocked today. Most of Leftist journalists, who were earlier working in RSTV, started this portal after 2014.

I think the reason for banning it was Karan Thapar's interview with Najam Sethi. Najam Sethi is a senior Pakistani journalist. He has been saying that Pahalgam is False Flag Operation. And he is misquoting some reference in an old book to refer to some other instance like Chittisinghpura (2000). In last few days, Shekhar Gupta has shown how Najam Sethi is lying about Chittisinghpura but Sethi is still harping about it and Karan Thapar was providing him space.

I personally have had some exchange with Najam Sethi in the past. Used to follow his 'Aapas ki Baat' with Munib Farooq back in 2015 regularly. We even exchanged a few emails before he became head of Pakistan Cricket Board and then temporary CM of Punjab in Pakistan.

He is known to be close to Nawaz Sharif family. In recent time, he had become extremely anti Imran Khan, even before the Pakistani Army did. And then in a few months, Imran was removed. That showed how much he came close to the military establishment. That is the reason, today, he is lying through his teeth and thus he had to be banned in India.

His recent daily program on Sama TV is already banned. Now as Wire provided him space, it also got banned.

There was a time when Najam Sethi was close to India's left-liberal ecosystem. I think he is still close to them. But this episode is definitely going to damage his reputation in India.
