Verses 10-11 Reflections
These verses continue on about the fire and what the ihabitants of Jahannam will say. Verse 10 describes the sheer regret that will be shown by the disbelievers. They will wish that they had followed the messengers and used their intellect to come to the logical conclusion about the Oneness of Allah but it will be too late.
The believers will also regret. As for those believers who will end up in Jahannam for a period of time, they will regret that they hadn't done more good deeds and will regret every sin that they did. They will regret not seeking repentance from Allah.
On the day of judgement, the believers who will go to Jannah will wish that they had done more good deeds in order to attain a higher stage in Jannah. However, after they enter Jannah, they will have no feeling of regret. My brothers and sisters, let us aim for the highest Jannah. Whatever stage of Jannah we attain, we will be there forever so why not aim for the highest? If we have this mindset and strive hard for it and continually ask Allah for it, we hope that through His mercy, He will enter us into Jannatul Firdaus.
