The app is really awesome for me rather than using other Messaging apps for my day-to-day works. It has all the things that meet my requirements. To lock a chat go to Settings->Privacy and Security->Passcode Lock and enable it. In general, Telegram is as safe or safer than most other chat apps. It could be argued that WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption on all messaging is a better approach, but the company’s ties to Facebook/Meta may turn off privacy advocates.
On desktop applications, chat folders are displays in the sidebar. In the mobile app, these folders are arranged in tabs that can be easily swiped between. Next, tap Never Share With and then select the people from whom you want to hide your profile.
