The Corpus Christi Police Department, Texas, sadly announced the death of Senior Officer Vicente Ortiz.
On May 21, 2024, while conducting traffic control on his police motorcycle, Senior Officer Ortiz was struck by a vehicle. He died from the injuries caused by the accident.
Senior Officer Ortiz served with the department for 15 years.
