💭Fernando António Nogueira de Seabra Pessoa (Portuguese: [fɨɾˈnɐ‌du pɨˈsoɐ]; 13 June 1888 – 30 November 1935) was a Portuguese poet, writer, literary critic, translator, and publisher. He has been described as one of the most significant literary figures of the 20th century and one of the greatest poets in the Portuguese language. He also wrote in and translated from English and French.

💭Pessoa was a prolific writer both in his own name and approximately seventy-five other names, of which three stand out: Alberto Caeiro, Álvaro de Campos, and Ricardo Reis. He did not define these as pseudonyms because he felt that this did not capture their true independent intellectual life and instead called them heteronyms, a term he invented. These imaginary figures sometimes held unpopular or extreme views.

معروف به فرناندو پسوا شاعر، نویسنده و همچنین مترجم و منتقد پرتغالی است. منتقدان، وی را تأثیرگذارترین نویسنده جریان‌ساز پرتغالی و از بانیان پست مدرنیسم می‌دانند.

💭 کتاب دلواپسی که پسوا بیش از بیست سال زمان برای نوشتن آن سپری کرد، سندی از اندوه هستی گرایانهٔ اوست. این کتاب به اموری چون پیدایش انسان، مفهوم زندگی و اسرار منِ خویش می‌پردازد.

💭 پس از پیدا کردن دوبارهٔ دست نوشته‌های پسوا در سال ۱۹۸۲، جهانیان بی‌درنگ به شایستگی‌های ستودنی وی پی بردند و دریافتند که او همزمان بزرگترین نویسندهٔ قرن پرتغال، نخستین پایه‌ گذار نوگرایی در کشورش و نخستین بانی پسانوگرایی در جهان بوده‌ است. فرناندو پسوا به شدت تحت تأثیر ژرف‌ اندیشی و جهان‌نگری «خیام» بوده و هرجا که فرصتی یافته، لب به ستایش وی گشوده‌ است. کتاب دلواپسی نیز به گونه‌ای با اندیشهٔ خیام گره خورده‌ است. پسوا را در زمینه سرایندگی با ریلکه و در زمینه نثر با شکسپیر قابل مقایسه دانسته‌اند.
