🎉 Congratulations!

I received messages from UGRAD semi-finalists! As I mentioned, One step closer to New York. I'm not sure if you guys knew, but another program alumni and I had a talk at ACT about the program, its requirements, and all. After the presentation, there was a young girl (I can't recall her age, but she was quite young) who approached me to inquire more about the requirements and my personal experience. We talked for a while, and then I suddenly remembered that I had brought a postcard from New York to gift to the most active participant.

I decided to give it to this girl, saying, "Consider it a ticket to New York - you came to the US embassy, which means you are one step closer to your dream" (symbolically).

The moral of the story: I genuinely liked this cute girl and wished her the best from the bottom of my heart. A few days before, she texted me, sharing that she had become a semi-finalist.

- Do you remember giving me the New York card at the ACT?
- I managed to become a semi-finalist 😭😭

My head was over the moon; I was so excited to hear this news. It's not like I directly helped her with her documents or anything; I simply wished her the best. 😊

Me :

- See, one step closer to NY, yaaay! 🎉
Guessss who got this mail today ❤️‍🩹🥲🔥

That's your hard work paying off, girl. I'm so excited about your trip and can't wait to see your future endeavors.

I know I've been sharing too many emotional posts, but I believe that's the most important thing in life. You should not only try hard but also believe in yourself at the same time. I felt the same way when I received my congratulations letter from the Embassy. Sometimes, you are capable of more than you think.

So keep rocking! The best things are yet to come)🔥❤️
